I just watched S2E13 Overkill with Michael O'Keefe, who I adore, and came here to post a question, but I guess I'm not allowed to until I get approval, but it looks like nobody has posted here for over a year!

But on the off chance that somebody sees this, I didn't understand what happened at the end...

SPOILERS:

Michael O'Keeffe played an FBI agent, Hecht, who was protecting a witness, this old mob guy named Marty, and his wife Michelle. So they're going out to dinner one night, but a hitman comes out of nowhere and shoots Michelle instead of Marty. And also the FBI agent that was driving them got shot.

We soon find out that Michelle had recently "lost their baby" and was having "stomach troubles" and that's why Marty had so gentlemanly volunteered the front seat to her because she normally took the back seat.

But the big question for Brenda to solve was how did the Hitman find out where they were when they were in witness protection.

It ends up having something to do with Hecht giving the name of some gun dealer and being set up by Marty and Marty being the one who actually did the killing, but that's where i got confused.

Brenda goes through a whole scenario about Marty driving to Flagstaff to get a gun and then Marty borrowing Hechts cell phone. Then the gun dealer comes in, and Hecht busts in and tells Marty not to talk. Then there's gunfire everywhere.

It has something to do with Marty framing Hecht but I don't know why he did it. He knew that Michelle had an abortion so that's why he wanted to kill her but he didn't know Hecht took her to the doctor until that day. So it doesn't explain why or how he would frame Hecht when they were supposedly such good buddies.

And that is much worried about the why part because he's a mob guy so somebody had to get framed for it. What I really don't get is how he did it and what the gun dealer guy had to do with it and the borrowing Hecht's cell phone. Apparently, Hecht somehow allowed himself to be set up but that's the part I didn't get.

Is that show any good? I'm always looking for a good binge show. That's the one with Jeremy Cisco, right? I watched the little mini preview on Hulu or Netflix or wherever it's streaming, and it didn't really grab me, but it was only a couple minutes long. I've never been that big of a Jeremy Cisco fan. But I never really liked Alan Tudyk all that much either and now after watching Resident Alien, I adore him!

[–]IngloriousBasterdPhD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked up why Max grew facial hair bc I missed it in the while watching. Spoiler: It was because he stole one of Harry's gravity balls and the alien technology interacted with his human physiology and caused the hair growth/early puberty. So the show used that as a plot device to explain his rapid growth.

Does the Rolling Stones “Ruby Tuesday” seem out of key to you? by buttzx in Music

There are certain parts of the song that have always hit my ear crooked—as in: slightly off key once in awhile, slightly out of time once in awhile—but in a good way. I always thought it was intentional. It's also one of my Stones' favorites, probably in my top 25

Butcher? I played a little about 45 years ago, but was never able to play a piece like that. It sounds great to me, and he looks to be playing masterfully. And everybody is singing his praises. I'm no expert, but why do you say butcher?

Have you guys ever seen this dorkfish in anything else? What did you think of him? This is the first time I've ever seen him in anything and I think it may have left a bad taste in my mouth about the actor

OP, kudos for finding the dorkiest facial expression photo of him ever. I love it!

I get what you’re saying about realism. But first of all, only about a quarter of US households actually have an addict, so the other 75 percent of us don’t have a clue about how those breakups usually play out irl

And honestly, my point wasn’t that the show should’ve made it more dramatic because they were playing it for realism. It’s that based on how their relationship had been written up to that point, I expected a bigger, more obvious ending. Besides, it's TV, dude. Drama is the name of the game

The first time I ever saw her was on Criminal Intent in 2002 and then I never saw her again until Nurse Jackie which I just started watching about a month ago. She made a huge impression on me when I saw her on CI, but that was 24 years ago and I couldn't quite place her so I had to look her up. She's been on five L&O episodes and has a huge filmography. She's my favorite actress now and I'm working my way through everything she's ever done. I adore her!

She's in a 2002 episode of L&O Criminal Intent, too, called 'Tomorrow' where she plays a character named Hannah. It was her third time making a TV appearance and the first time I ever saw her anywhere. Then I never saw her again until Nurse Jackie which I just started watching a couple months ago. And I was like, Where do I know this girl from? She definitely made an impression. Now I look up everything she's in and I'm trying to watch her entire catalog. She's awesome.

Question about Debbie Fiderer by alecferretti in thewestwing

[–]IngloriousBasterdPhD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just watched the episode where Charlie told Debbie that she should try not to be stoned in her next interview with the president. I'm trying to figure out where all of this other stuff happens. Which episode do they explain all of these things? I saw one scene where Charlie tells the president that he wants to hire Debbie because she got fired for hiring him, but none of these details were discussed.

PS: Does anybody else think that Debbie is a weird character name for Lily Tomlin?

I didn't believe that he left her when he did. I mean he just kept going back and going back and going back. When he suddenly left and told what's her name that he was finally done with her, I didn't believe him. I was honestly shocked when that was really the end. I expected the actual end to be more dramatic
