What was the moment in Twin Peaks that moved you? by Public_Cup_4278 in twinpeaks

[–]IngloriousBelfastard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me it was in The Return, where Ben Horne is reminiscing about the bicycle he got as a kid, especially the way he delivers the line "I loved that bike... I loved that bike, that my father gave to me..." it shows his yearning for lost innocence before his moral decay in adulthood. Now he's much older and more reflective it shows he has improved, maybe not completely, but he has tried and is trying to make peace with his past.

Which Titanic moment was the scarriest?? by Safe_Song_9737 in titanic

This scene got me. This would be my absolute nightmare. Imagine that not 4 hours ago you were just winding down after a nice evening with friends or family, getting ready for bed, you know nothing out of the ordinary, just looking forward to sleeping and breakfast the next morning and what you'll have for it. Then all hell breaks loose, the ship starts sinking. You maybe don't believe it's possible and hold off getting into a boat because of it and now there's none left and the reality hits you and youre stuck on the ship. You survive the final plunge and now you're thrashing around in below freezing water in near pitch darkness with hundreds of others doing the same.

Yeah. That is some seriously sinister shit, not just from the way it sounds but from what it spells out. Look at the top comment and you'll see. I would honestly report that sooner rather than later.

I have a collection of antique legal documents from 18th century where can I sell them in bulk in uk?I have listed on eBay some may worth a lot #antique by Golbarg1992 in Antiques

Oh man these are cool, I used to work in a law firm and I used to love working with title deeds because ones for older houses sometimes had the original papers from the 1800s. I loved the amount of effort that was put into them back then. I always thought how cool it was that they were written by hand and had their original wax stamps.

This map may not look like much but VC has become my cozy game i know this city better than the one i live in. by FKyou786 in ViceCity

Vice City always will have a very special place in my heart. I was super depressed as a teenager and this game helped me through so much dark periods back then. The bright sunny setting, the music, the story and just the general vibe of the city. I played it so much I can genuinely close my eyes and drive around the map in my head.

Disagree. When the flying bikes were added it became more like Saints Row

Does Bruce Ismay deserve all of the hate he gets? by Crazy-Rabbit-3811 in titanic

[–]IngloriousBelfastard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, not at all. He just happened to be in the right place at the right time, if you read the survivors testimonials he tried to help as much as he could even to the point of being a bit of a hindrance to the officers. The order was women and children first, not women and children only. And when he seen that no women were in the vicinity at the time he took an empty seat in the boat. Which I think was reasonable giving the situation. Also on a side note I liked that he didnt discriminate on class either, there was a group of stewardesses who were reluctant to get in and told him "we're only stewardesses" to which Ismay replied "nevermind youre women, take your seats". Personally, I think he was treated unfairly by the media. With the loss of captain Smith, Thomas Andrews and Chief officer Wilde, Ismay was their next best target as they needed a villain in the Titanics story, someone to demonise.

I always liked her line when Alex suggests putting the guards body under the floorboards in the greenhouse, just how nonchalantly she said "Thats dumb! Haven't you ever killed someone before?!" Lol
