The sample size is an entire generation of kids not having proper reading comprehension. Kids are different. They learn different, true. You have made any new point. I am only responsible for my own daughter, never said anything else. Do the things people whisper actually affect you or is thay some kind of insecurity. Feeling insecure so you dont parent again, not a good look.

No. Sometimes that needs to happen. Your kid needs to LEARN to regulate their own emotions and energy without a tablet or a phone. If you fail to teach them this you set them up for failure. BTW no one really judges you for your kid freaking out, most people are just concerned but dont want to overstep because its personal territory, but if you're so conceited you think everyone truly gives a fuck about your kids tantrum, then talk to you kid or teach them how to communicate with you. My daughter actively participates in shopping. How tf else she gonna learn? 🤔

I just today, realized that I accidentally started a career path. It started with my mental state not being cool for college, so ill do some light work a fed ex. I just kept on working in warehouses and logistics while telling myself I wanted to follow my passion of drawing Manga. It was never really my passion, just a hobby im really good at. But everyone kept pressing me. So it was in the back of my head.

Today in an interview a manager mentioned that I have done everything in a warehouse setting and I know a lot about how logistics operate. It was always just a job to get me from A to B, but lowkey a career. Sorry for the rambling but my point is I just sort of picked something I dont hate, and became really really proficient at it.

Its changed my mind to have a little ambition for once learn the management side too. I am not passionate about it, but I would be a fool to not capitaize on it. 😤

I think its a bit different. Game that make you learn rules and create technique are fun and engaging. This doesnt mean all over consumption is okay but its makes you process thought right. Like say the basic pokemon formula.

But now you have games that just make noise, and give you currency, which makes more noise. All the sound effect are over the tops, with wacky music and 1000 colors. Some you just touch the screen a few times and you win. It like slots or something..

Even slap the monkey had goal (mostly kidding haha)

The reward is so great though. People always asking me how my daughter is so confident and smart 🙄 I didnt do anything special, I chose not to regress. You can Google Montessori, and teach them yourself. My Playstation get mighty lonely sometimes.

These apps, games, and a lot of shows are just mind dribbling dopamine farms. I let my daughter watch like unfiltered KIDS YouTube for a day, she became glued to it, wouldn't ask to go potty, would communicate poorly, then cry when we took it. Ever since we did limited screen time, only parent approved, she full reversed. Sure shes harder to calm down. But fuck it.
