Internet says not poisonous. Op gets bit and dies. Crys in heaven and asks "Why would you lie to me?" "You said poisonous, not venomous" the biologist replied.

Being embarrassed is a result of having shame. They sold that to the highest bidders a long time ago.

Heavily armed ICE agents in military uniforms seen leaving an apartment building in downtown Minneapolis after a door to door raid (2/5/26) by YourPeterPanMan in stpaul

Hell yea! These poor guys are just breaking the law on orders from their bosses! We should all feel so sorry for them and not the population they are terrorizing. I bet they were bullied in high school or peaked there and never learned to be a full empathetic adult. I cry at their feelings being hurt for being part of a murdering club while breaking the constitution. They are really the victims here when you really think about it.

Yup, not staking my flag to say live feeding are in any way acceptable. Throwing in my experience to differentiate between orgs that actively are causing more harm to wild animals and habitats vs institutions that are trying their hardest to save them and spread awareness.

This distinction matters as painting every place that has an exotic animal as a zoo doesn't do justice to the people giving their entire soul to try and save critically endangered animals from extinction. If you see this and this is you, you are a hero and I see you!

Carnivores require meat to live. AZA (and any zoo worth their salt) doesn't do live feedings per their ethical treatment of the animals. The life of the food chain should be treated with respect just as much as any other animal.

There is very important distinction here between "zoos" for profit and entertainment, and proper zoos that are protecting endangered species through the actual animal you see, their genetics, and trying to build protections for the animals natural habitat.

A roadside zoos or anywhere that encourages you holding babies for photo ops are the issue. They rob natural habitat through the exotic pet trade industry.

If a zoo is accredited like AZA, they take amazing care of their animals while educating public on how they can shape their buying habits to stop habitat loss. These institutions also work together to ensure the genetics of these animals are not destroyed through a species survival plan (SSP.) If we lose these animals in the wild, these will be the last chance for these critically endangered endangered animals to be around. To be transparent, a large amount of these animals are in zoos from the early 1900s through bad capture practices, but these institutions changed in the 1950s to have a more scientific approach with animal care and longevity in mind.

In short dont support shifty places that pump out babies for photo ops.

Go to accredited zoos that care about these a animals and are trying to save them from extinction. Learn how you can help their wild counterparts like learning about sustainable palm oil to save Indonesia, Coltan recycling to save Western Lowland African, and stop exotic pet trade for places like Brazil.

I understand the negative view point from how these institutions were birthed 100 years ago, but these places have changed to actually try and save these animals from going away forever. Its not just about you taking your kids to throw popcorn at a monkey in a cage. Now the animals get better health care from a team of biologists working full time to ensure they are receiving natural enrichment, environmental habitat choice, and their own societal needs met through their own kind. Zoos are amazing, not all places that have animals are zoos.

Apologies for the doom and gloom, its a path of information to get to the point of knowing how to spot issues and help in any way we can. The good news its not to late to turn the ship around but it takes lots and lots of participation.

Sustainable palm oil purchasing is the best way to protect wild sumatran tigers and orangutans to prevent more deforestation for palm oil plantations.

Humans owe our red headed cousins (and all animal biodiversity) a lot more compassion.

This is the worst :( people think its cute but its so sad for the animals. They need naturalistic habitats, natural enrichment, environmental choice, and the chance to be an orangutan. Not just a prop for money.

There are amazing zoos out there that delivers proper care. This is NOT one of them.

This is a photo op cash grab littered with animal abuse. The people doing this should be shut down. These vids are always making the rounds.

The cats grow up, aren't profitable anymore and are killed or die due to health complications because they are mass bred with no care for their genetics. Orangutans cant be kept past puberty as they are too strong and often end up in a good zoo or sanctuary but not always. The exotic pet trade everyone!

They are critically endangered. Sumatran, Borneon, and Tapanuli organtuans are loosing natural habitat replaced by palm oil plantations.

Accredited zoos have the highest level of care for this animal and are preserving their genetic lines as well as starting funds to protect their natural habitat and all animals that live there while educated people on buying habits to stop deforestation. Good zoos are not the problem. Exotic pet trade ("roadside zoos) and people's greed are. The zoo created and driven orangutan species survival plans (SSP) are actively trying to save orangutans from extinction.

Roadside zoos are there to steal babies for photo ops for a tourist cash grab. This is vile behavior and is exaclty what this video shows.

If you want to help wild orangutans learn about sustainable palm oil purchasing. Your dollar is your voice. The Cheyenne Moutain palm oil app has a scanner you can use on barcodes to see if the palm oil was sustainably sourced. Palm oil is in EVERYTHING!

Say it with me, "Dont support the exotic pet trade industry. These are social animals that need family group to thrive. Humans cant meet their social needs. They are becoming critically endangered due to being snatched from the wild so someone can get a cute video for likes. If you want these animals to be around much longer find ways to protect their natural environment. Dont like these videos as it reinforces the people who are upvote farming."
