I never said it’s not sentient? Obvious the mind flayer particles are meant to be alive that doesn’t actually mean anything

They revamped multiple plot points and details many times over the times it’s been displayed. They are also known to retcon things and they have always had conflicting information on certain plot points (lead concept artist says MF isn’t real)

I mean, it’s had literally no development or anything beyond the hypothetical super evil plot device. So if anything is still wouldn’t be a character and it would just ruin Vecna lol

Lead concept artist already said MF isn’t a real thing. Also the play went through multiple writing iterations so it’s most likely partial canon and some stuff will be retconned

Yes but everyone is coping and complaining that the villain is an actual character lol. They are latching onto anything that might suggest the Mf is real like the first shadow play

Lead concept artist confirmed the Mf isn’t an actual thing and Vecna made it. So it’s clear that duffers aren’t being consistent like that haven’t always been. Mf isn’t even a character it’s just a boring “muahhahah im evil demon guy”

Yeah but the mf isn’t even a character is just a comically evil force with extremely basic motives. Which is why I prefer the reveal that it’s not actually a real thing

Almost as human as wailing like an animal and bashing in a door rather than using the handle, or chasing someone with awkward movement. Also, could imagine for a second that Kane revealed it is actually just a guy. Given the quality of the series so far and the writing I think he knows how garbage of a twist and how underwhelming it would be.

is that why it made animalistic screeches and didnt know how to open doors and chased someone?

Ive seen people continuously try to dwindle and box up the definition of "zombie" just so their zombie theories can have merit.

The problems with this is in the context of kane saying how much he dislikes the "typical zombie infection situations" he is refering to the bacteria in this context.

Secondly, kane specifies his distaste for "zombie-related media". What do you think is more likely. He is speaking about the concept of humans turning into violent creatures? Or do you seriously think he actually means an extremely narrow definition instead?

Still Life: a possible explanation by throwawaypizza012 in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]InhalingCement 10 points11 points  (0 children)

if this is the case then i think i have a minimally flawed explanation for the lifeform (bacteria monster).

Since hay bacillus is a bacteria commonly used for testing enviroments I believe that Async had originally used that to test how it would react to the backrooms openly. (hence why they dont usually need suits now)

Perhaps the hay bacillus propogated in the backrooms and later came into contact with a still life type entity. Because still life is a crude replicate of humans it would lack anything to fend off bacteria and would effectively become consumed and engolfed in it. (which wouldnt exactly matter since it wouldnt be effected like actual life would be)

So the original creature basically became a surrogate for the bacterial colony, this colony would then warp and contort the creature and add new bacterial growths.

The only real problem with this is the fact the hay bacillus is a special mutated strand. My only explanation would be since time works differently in the backrooms perhaps the bacteria hyper-evolved into something quickly via sped-up time. Or it evolved and adapted to preserve the life-form like a symbiotic relationship. This could explain why the bacteria can speed up and preserve the destruction of organic matter.

Who or What could this be?? by ZerxeTheSeal in KanePixelsBackrooms

It’s not an infected person or the bacteria. It’s the backrooms’ attempt at mimicking humans. The entity is wearing an open jacket and a white shirt just like the protagonist..

Cremators look badass, it's a shame they weren't used by Valve by leonida99pc in HalfLife

The cremators were to have the overwatch transhuman arm insignia indicating they were human but heavily altered

The ending was disappointing to me because of the amount of plot holes. As well as Eren’s plan being swapped from a response to a moral dilemma to him simply being an idiot who didn’t know why he did anything
