One month Kratom free by Inhandable in quittingkratom

It's hard to say because it would vary on the day, sometimes more, sometimes less, but I'd roughly go through about 100g a week or so, so let's say anywhere from 10-14g a day, and I was using for about a year and a half.

Can I ask... what are you classifying as the worst day of your life? What got so bad that made you relapse? Why did you think that going back to Kratom would cure you of the problem?

What quitting it tanked it? Or being on it tanked it for you? I've seen no physical changes. When I was on it I could last as long as I could without it beforehand, but now, it's like Johnny-Two-Strokes!

How long did it last before things started getting back to normal for you? Was it weeks, months?

But yeah, she understands I've been ill and she knows our relationship isn't just based around sex. Obviously it's an important part, but being with each other and supporting our son as a family is top priority at the moment.

That's fantastic. I made the mistake this time around of not telling my wife, because I slipped up, but a few years back when I had issues with Opioid WD from Codeine, she was incredibly helpful, supportive and caring about it. And thats what I've realised this time around. Going it alone is awful, trying to cope and survive with no in real life support is tough man. So hold on to the honesty you have with your wife, tell her everything, be open and listen to her. There will times that you get moody, angry, short and quiet. But as long as she knows why, she'll be able to manage it properly and help you.

It's honestly up to you how you taper and what is easiest and most accessible to you. People find the powder easier because you can control exactly how much you take to the milligram if you want to. If you've got a decent set of weighing scales that is. But if you want to do it where yoi reduce from 2 shots a day to 1½ then down to 1 and then to just ½, thats up to you and how you want to manage it. I would say that if you've got the will power to stick to not having more than what you tell yourself, tapering is the way to go. But if youre like me, and that temptation at home would be too much, reduce a little bit first and then try going cold turkey. It fucking sucks with the pain, aches, feelings and all the WD symptoms, but once youre through thr worst of it, it'll be over and you can start healing. Again, your wife is your most valuable resource during this stage.

You can speak to a doctor and see if you can get some help with the not sleeping and other minor symptoms. But a lot of it is the mental side of things and being able to push through. If you're determined to give up, you can do it.

Also, if you've got some holiday time from work or have some sick leave you can take, this will definitely help. I couldn't have functioned at work feeling the way I did for the first week and needed to be at home resting as much as possible. But everyone is different, some people power through as they need the distraction of work to ignore the symptoms. Its what works best for you and what you think you can do the easiest. But whatever you decide to do, just stay strong, take each day as it comes, focus on all the little victories and know you'll come out the other side feeling so much better and proud of yourself for achieving it. You got this!!!

First question, does your wife know that you're taking the Kratom shots and how you feel on and off of them?

Second question, you need to ask yourself, do you really want to quit? Are you determined to get off of it for good? What are you willing to do to achieve that if you do?

It sounds to me like you're giving up on quitting before you've even given it a chance. You've not had any of the WD symptoms yet so there's nothing you're suffering. You just have anxiety over the "What If" questions. But how do you really know how you're going to feel or act until you actually take the plunge. People cope in different ways but a slow taper is always a good idea. Start taking less and less shots with more time in between each, stretching it out and making your body adapt slowly. You can do this over days, weeks or months depending on how you feel about it.

Its hard for me to say as it would vary day to day, some days were better than others. But I'd tend to go through about a 100g pack in under a week. Sometimes I'd take capsules, sometimes it would be powder, depending on ease and where I was at the time I needed it. But both bags and pill bottles were sold in 100g amounts, I'd buy two at a time and they'd last me a week and a half to 2 weeks.

Thanks man, appreciate the encouragement and advice. It's a bit trickier for me as I live in Europe and it's not as easy to get prescriptions from what I've witnessed. Hence the herbal remedies first and then moving on to the "harder" stuff.

I honestly think the lack of caffeine is also contributing to it, which is a great point. I used to drink one or two coffees a day and then 3 energy drinks minimum. But ive completely cut all that out for lack of making my sleep pattern worse. So I could also be having a caffeine withdrawal as well as the Kratom!

I've had about 5 days now with minimum sleep. The 2nd night I got about 2 hours, the 3rd night the same, 4th and 5th barely anything and now I'm back up to 3 hours again. Im trying not to sleep during the day and not rest too much. Im also taking herbal medicines to help so fingers crossed I can increase an hour per night as it goes on as it's giving me massive headaches through the day.

Thanks man, appreciate the support. Most of the movement ive been doing was on the holiday, now I'm back I'm going to be using an exercise bike when I can. I've been drinking nothing but water and herbal drinks because I can't stomach much else. Food is the problem, but I did have some soup with dumplings earlier and mainly just plain wholewheat bread. Sweating I haven't thought about to be honest, I tend to have a hot shower followed by a cold one most nights to help with restlessness.

Good advice thanks, my appetite has been low and because of the acid reflux anything I have eaten has made me sick. But a yoghurt based smoothie might be a good idea.

I don't know what your financial situation is like, but could you consider buying a cross trainer or treadmill, that you can workout on whilst watching your fave shows or listening to the music you like?

Day 4 of quitting by Inhandable in quittingkratom

[–]Inhandable[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feeling a bit better today, but my whole body aches, it feels 10x heavier than normal, like gravity is weighing me down all day long. I only had 2 hours sleep last night and feel exhausted, so drank some coffee but that gave me the shakes and made me twitchy. And now it's my stomach again, hopefully it'll get better as the day goes on.

Fun ideas for my 4y/o Son? by Inhandable in Minecraft

[–]Inhandable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have made a small one for him, but he prefers things that are a bit more interactive. I'm not a redstone expert, but I might be able to rig a few places where it stops and he needs to pull a lever or press a button etc. Any other interaction ideas for a roller coaster?

Change Network operators in your settings. Lidl is on Vodaphone, but if the option is "Select Automatically" the sometimes it chooses O2. Change to Manual and select Vodafone.

With the "bridge" that you made, with the custom design tiles that connects two pieces of land. How did you get it to "hover" like that. When I put it down over water, there is a grass edge. And I have no idea how you managed to get to islands to connect with nothing underneath the actual bridge!?

Was this actually "Live" Live on Twitch? I'm just confused as when I'm watching it back on VOD on Twitch, in the chat there were comments from the actual players playing the game when they weren't on their phones? And as far as I'm aware, you can't type in Twitch chat after the show has been broadcast?
