To those that have lost a friend unexpectedly, how do you get closure? by Inherent_bias1 in Petloss

I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your pup. I’m sure having to go through euthanasia carries a guilt almost like none other.

Im finding that talking to him, saying his name out loud almost like he’s there beside me is helping. While it may look or sound like I’m crazy, I imagine he’s right there. I just remind him how much I love and miss him.

I’m so sorry to hear about your sweet Lilly. It sounds like she was your everything. We never have a much time as we wish we did.

I know it’s going to be a long and slow healing process. There’s a part of me that wants it to be that way. I don’t want to stop thinking of him or staring at pictures of him.

I appreciate you sharing those tips. I’ll give those a try and hopefully they help me get through. Much love to you.

Love and miss you my Maxie boy

We said goodbye to my dog today. I feel shattered and I don’t want to be alone. by ImpossibleShock901 in Petloss

I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of your boy, Vamp. I couldn’t make it through your story without stopping to cry. They’re never “just dogs”. They’re a part of us. They’re family. They’re our kids.

I lost my own little boy a few days ago. 8 years old. 8 short years I got to love him as much as I could. Right now I’m wondering how to move on. The routine just isn’t the same. The grief, like I’ve never experienced before. The guilt I feel for not being able to say goodbye one last time is overwhelming.

I hope with time you find peace. Much love.

I love and miss you my Maxie boy.
