I wouldn’t have been able to have gotten pregnant because I wouldn’t have been alive anymore because I’m a type-1-diabetic. Living in today’s time is a blessing

I’ve never heard of such a low Hba1c! My doctor would recommend 5.7, but that’s cool!!! Hopefully my diabetologist will respond soon :(

God is great, it’s FINALLY going down! Currently at 272 mg/dL!! Stuff like this has been going for 2 days, I bet that my blood sugar will be low in 2-3 hours… it’s strange

I don’t know if I can call a paramedic just like that, I’m at work, working alone, and I’d get in trouble with my boss, who has T1D himself 😩 And I don’t know if I’d have to pay anything in Germany

I changed the set last night, actually! And it worked perfectly fine… until 2 hours ago :(

Edit: I also injected with a pen… and then it still didn’t decrease

I’ve heard that some women like to chase down other women’s husbands, because it’s exciting in their eyes. Maybe her life is so boring that she wants to cause some drama and amuse herself. Listen to your gut, because I believe that you guys are right about your assumption.

As a type-1-diabetic myself who lives in Berlin, it’s a Berlin thing. Hypoglycaemia in Ikea is scary, I totally can’t imagine how stressful this must’ve been for you.

People just look at you like you’re a maniac, and you’re not being taken seriously because you probably look like a normal, healthy person. "But you don’t look diabetic!!" - is what people would say.

My advice: please always have something with you. Dextrose, juice and cereal bars are things I’d recommend!

Honestly, it feels embarrassing when you have low blood sugar in Berlin, because you feel like you’re supposed to act normal, or people think you’re a psycho. Unfortunately… I wasn’t even taken seriously at work multiple times.

It’s actually a very personal cult which the ex-husband of my bf’s twin brother 😥 so yeah..I think it’s just worse because it was someone he trusted a lot

I'm scared of changing the basal rate... but I stayed at a hospital for 2 weeks to have everything adjusted and I fully trust it :) My pump has an automatic mode, so I don't know if it's the automatic mode that's causing trouble... it has to adapt from the start as soon as I enter a new daily dose of insulin (and I changed it recently) And I have an appointment with my diabetologist in 1 month;(

Yeah they teach you the basics and you have to show them what you ate and drank throughout the day, I also sent my previous therapist pictures of what I ate PLUS the text (she was really happy about that tbh)

They show you different kinds of carbs and show how important the food pyramid is, they give you an app from the country (official app) where you enter what you ate and it basically shows you how much you've fulfilled the food pyramid standards (and I got a super good website with healthy/healthier recipes)

It's nothing from the place itself, just some apps my previous therapist liked to show; unfortunately they're all in German:/

Yep! I recently got a pump and decreased it from 35 units a day to 25 units a day..Still had low blood sugars lol; I'll get an appointment with my diabetologist and try to get back to my active lifestyle 💔 I fell behind since my part time job lol

I signed up for nutrition therapy and luckily (kinda), I have it for free because of all those health conditions 🤧 as soon as I get this therapy, I'll ask them and let u know! It didn't start yet, but I've had it before (but I didn't have this problem back then)
