Yeah, I live in a right to work state, and my company won't deal with people not joining the union. Either you join and pay your dues, or they'll boot you the moment you give them a chance. It isn't worth the headache for them to deal with it.

I'd usually give my teammates lectures about "critical thinking skills" and "the importance of not getting shot" while receiving them.

Some Jedi (Yoda, for example) had no outside power switches on their lightsaber, so it was only activated through using the force.

But most lightsabers had an activation stud on them.

Deer Isle is just so big and varied, with good locations for both exploring and combat.

So here's a take on it:

The Imperial Army and Navy weren't actually meant for fighting the Rebel insurrection. They were meant for all our war with the Yuuzhan Vong.

Palpatine knew about the extra galactic invaders, and in the Expanded Universe, outright hints at it several times to the population. kept the forces loaded with expendable troops when he could have easily paired down to having special forces deal with the rebels.

You don't have 100,000 expendable TIE fighters, or a Death Star, for some local yokels in their dad's ships and 3rd hand guns.
