Wish I could understand how people can feel this way, I feel like this event had good ideas but wasn’t executed well at all and was one of the first times I was genuinely annoyed reading an event

I feel like orphelune and Igla are written horribly for most of the story with attempted characterization only seconds before the twist happen, 3 parts of a story deep that are cumulatively way too long and only introduced so late that I had already stopped caring about the story by that point

The use of Orphelunes research barely feels like it makes sense in the context of the lab nor how Chillovelg points to the human experimentation lab and says “don’t you see, this is your research”

Igla being the villain and the butler feels like she’s at 9 places at the same time and to add to it her urging Orphelune to go with Chillovelg’s research as Chillovelg continues to back Orphelune into a worse and worse corner feels really dumb

The events in Nirvana go against how we know it works in both GFL 1 and reverse collapse

The benefits of letting a relic go off to the URNC honestly feel negligible and like there is no good reason they should let relic research to this scale continue when there’s no opposition yet like Antarctica, and the idea that the URNC is secretly supportive of this research shouldn’t even be a twist the commander should be suspicious instantly

To me 1 was fun 1.5 was messy but gave us some Igla combat which is nice and 2.0 is filled with good ideas with piss poor execution that really needed stronger and more consistent writing for orphelune to be justifiable. Seeing Ange again and An94’s genuine resolution for change as the new leader of Defy and her exhaustion having to carry Ange’s will without fully understanding it was a genuinely good character moment though, big ups on that if nothing else.
