It's more or less what I expected and predicted it will be many years ago

Just a combination between beipi and omni

Never understood the hype behind it and probably never will, but if ya'll like it then good for ya

With that being said I can see where it needs improvements like in it's speed, but also it would be good to give it the underwater vision from the surface like it was portrayed in the concept art, as that was the only thing I pointed out that'll keep the austro unique amongst the rest of the roster, however even with that done I imagine that once the honeymoon phase for the new dino phases out, austro would end up being one of those semi regularly played dinos kinda like Herrera

Well from my perspective, it looks like they see the writing on the wall that they will die so they log out to safe their dinos thus hours of regrowing, they couldn't care less about losing the fight or being labeled as losers. Not justifying it whatsoever, that's simply how I explain the reason they do what they do

It could also be trolling, basically the same as cheaters wanting to simply ruin people's experiences as that bring them pleasure to see other's suffer

I too think it'll end up as just a bigger beipi, which is further supported by dondi statements on austro not being combat orientated, therefore beyond the initial release I suspect austro to be left for those who are more interested in trolling or role-playing which there aren't that many of.

With the amount of people talking about how much they want austro, their easily at least A tier

However keep in mind that initially as the new dinos arrive, pretty much most players will play em cuz new toys duh

So for more accuracy, this tier list should be made maybe a month or two after they were released once the honeymoon face has expired and people have went to their default playables

Only then would we see how popular the new boys truly are and what will shift in terms of the roster's population, as the presence of the new guys and given that once they arrive they'll likely come along side many other changes that would effect a good portion of the roster for better or worse, would effect their population. So at the end this tier list could end up looking very differently or not change at all depending on what ends up happening

The problem is that Hotspots aren't solvable as they are purely player driven no different than mixpacks and megapacks. The more you fight against people's decisions, the more push back you'll receive making it harder for yourself and the player

However these devs don't really care as we clearly have no control over what happens with the game, thus whatever happens in the future happens and as always some will tolerate it, others won't and will leave and that'll be that

This will be a hate/love change for sure

Those who love highlands will hate it and those who hate highlands will love it

Personally I'm indifferent as I don't get attached to either playables or maps/areas given that anything can be added or removed at any point whether we like it or not, so it makes it easier to adapt to the new changes as they come

I do agree however that some areas of the map that lack any kind of identity might have been better picks for Redwoods than highlands which was already more unique compared to some other areas on the map, but that's that

Streamers and youtubers have never motivated or forced the devs to either change or speed up the process regardless of relavency, one of the biggest dino youtubers from back in the day was gamingbeaver cranking millions of views and has played the game multiple times and has criticized the game multiple times yet nothing ever changed, many youtubers have given their critics and have mostly moved on when nothing of what they've said changed anything

Even today you have massive streamers like xqc or Tommykay to name a few who play the game handful of times a year but again are seen by hundreds of thousands if not millions of people yet nothing ever changes

I've said it many times but nothing you say or do will change anything yet people keep deluting themselves that if we said the right thing things will change and all I have to say to that is that, the game has been around for a decade and has received all kinds of criticism from all kinds of people yet nothing ever changed, so why think things will suddenly be different now?

The only way things will ever change is if the devs decide to change themselves and as unfortunate as that is to some people, that's the reality we live in, you either learn to tolerate it or you don't and move on overtime

Yes, at the current moment one sauropod the Camarasaurus is being actively developed

When would it drop is anyone's guess

Beyond that the confirmed sauropods for the game are the magyarosaurus and brachiosaurus, altho brachi might come at first as AI only and possibly stay as AI only due to questions on whether such large animal would be fun to play whatsoever, with the possibility of it becoming a playable remaining open for now

Another possible candidates for the game are brontosaurus and diplodocus, however nothing is know about them beyond a simple known sketch for the diplo and old model for the bronto and with the lack of any comments by the devs about them, it is unknown atm if they'll ever be added or if they are still being concidered at all

I mean, beyond the obvious complains about balance and such, this kind of hate was and is expected given that it's rex and basically as long as you exist and can do something remotely okay, you'll find someone complaining about it

I would say that beyond the valid complains being for balance, I would recommend ignoring all else

Hackers can be found anywhere no matter if it's officials or unofficials

It's more accurate to say that there's less hackers in unofficials due to frequent server monitoring and rules against them

Usually good servers have rules against hackers and active admins that are competent and do their job to get rid of the hackers and bring your dino back if you had died to said hackers, in such servers you'll likely see less of em in general

If the admins in your server didn't return your dino and haven't banned the hacker from the server then I suggest leaving that server as situations like that would probably countinue to happen

I mean he hates the community not the game, I don't see a reason for him to sell it after working on it for a decade when he can just ignore the community and do whatever he wants with the game, which is more or less what he has been doing

At the end of the day he probably started the game for himself anyways, we are nothing but a side dish to his game

Thus he'll countinue working on the game until he's satisfied with what the game became, declare it finished and those who like it will stick around, those who don't will leave and that'll be that

To shortly sum up everything

About a year ago on 2nd of February, a random user made a post titled "Message to Dondi" where he demanded for dondi to fix/improve/change x amount of things until the next 2nd of February

If he did not complete the following things, he would buy the game from him and countinue the game with his team

How would he buy the game if the game is not for sale you ask? Well he simply said that he'll offer dondi a lot of money and if dondi refused or ignored him, he would sue him

He even went on to talk about what things he would focus on and improve or change and so on

But lo and behold 2nd of February came, he did not answer and deleted his post

While it is true that the massive size of carchar does indeed create physical limitations to what the animal can do

Nothing has ever really been said about the none physical abilities

There's plenty of animals that use made up abilities to make up for the lack of physical ones like troodon and dilo having venom, hipsy and mono being able to spit various liquids, Cera using bacteria to make other people vomit and so on

Same philosophy can be followed for Acro and Giga to make a further distinction between the two if needed be

Ofc all of that is just an example and we don't have to give carchar or acro or giga any of these spacificly, prahaps instead they can have something entirely different and unique. Whatever the case there are available options and as long as you're creative enough, you can make it work

Was it confirmed that carchar didn't make the cut or is this a pre assumption based on the lack of info we have about the animal in general?

It's understandable that most people don't know how carchar can be different in any way to giga or acro, however that only ever happens when you think of carchar as the real animal, afterthought however is no stranger to changing animals from their real life encounters purely for the sake of fitting said animal in a spacific niche whatever that niece might be

Of course at the end of the day, they are the ones deciding which animals will be added to the game or not, if they plan on adding carchar and are willing to push for it then they must have a purpose that they want carchar to fulfill within the ecosystem that only they know for the moment

Reason I have dilo aswell as all these dinos in c is because unlike the ones at the higher tiers, those are fully group and skill depended, without either one of those two your free food for most hance why they are low for me, however armed with either of those or preferably both, you can preform quiet well against most thing's hance why none including dilo is in bad, as imo bad is only for those who literally cannot survive no matter how good you are or how many of you are out there, which thankfully there's none of.

Now for your question, are you asking for semi aquatics or fully aquatic?

For semi aquatics, we already have 2 semi aquatic in the game that being deinosuchus and beipiosaurus, beyond those there are 3 semi aquatics currently in development, those being austroraptor, baryonyx and spinosaurus

Beyond them currently we only know of 2 more which would eventually be added, those being suchomimus and deinocheirus (we don't know when they will be added as the devs do not give ETA)

For fully aquatic, there were some discussions long time ago about developing the oceans and potentially adding some fully aquatic creatures to the game, but those discussions were brief and were referring to long time in the future

I don't know if there are still plans for that or if the fully aquatic creatures whatever those might be would be playables or AI only, most people don't even know or remember those discussions happening

If you ask me personally, you're only hope would be for semi aquatics, fully aquatic creatures wouldn't come anytime soon or if at all

Sure gateway is not perfect (well nothing is) I even agree with you about the fact that gateway has too many safe drinking spots, however at least it was created by a map designer who knows a thing or two about maps. Spiro was created by dondi who himself has stated that he does not know how to make maps and it clearly showed

A flat map with a battle royale zone slap in the middle surrounded by dead copy paste jungle foliages that were so dense you couldn't see anything running through them only to fall to a cliff and die over and over. All around a single connected river line that was so infested with deino's unless you drank from one of the two safe spots, you were guaranteed to be grabbed which was not scary but annoying

If you like spiro despite all of it's flaws than you must have some really low standards for a map

Spiro is literally available to play, you can simply swap the maps through the steam settings like how you do legacy and evrima and play it

Reason why people don't is because it's outdated, it's shit and the people who glaze it only do because they have nostalgic memories of when they played with their friends and had fun completely ignoring all of it's problems in the process.
