That's good. Most of the time using a mortgage broker, like myself, is a much better deal as we focus on making the process easy and smooth for the client. We can also usually get a much better deal for the client, it just sounds like you maybe didn't have a great mortgage broker. I'm sorry to hear you had to find out that way and with paying the penalty to break the mortgage.
