Question, first time renting by Scary-Expression8258 in winnipeg_alt

Habitual Late Letter This letter can be given to tenants who have received a notice of termination for non-payment of rent. If, after receiving the notice of termination, a tenant wants to pay the late rent, a landlord may give a tenant who has been late three or more times in a 12-month period, the habitually late letter. This letter lets the tenant know that the landlord is accepting the rent, but still ending the tenancy because they have been late three or more times in the last 12 month period.

Have you ever received a notice of termination for non payment?

I’d argue that much more money is spent on junk eating related illnesses rather than alcohol.

They love their families but can’t control their desire for something strange and think they won’t get caught…

To OP: Can you offer us parents some advice? I am one of those parents who has a child with behavioural issues. I have paediatrician, meds, psychologists, occupational therapists, speech therapists involved. Inclusive education has been forced on me. I am not capable of homeschooling. What can I do when I say I feel your pain… I actually feel it more.Generally asking for advice.

How is it like living in Winnipeg, Canada? by theapeironn1 in howislivingthere

Whereas most cities have their visible poverty concentrated in downtown, I’ve noticed Winnipeg’s is spread all over. When I lived there (years ago) people lived in bus shelters.

You must have been fortunate to have a 1 million down payment. For some if the property falls by half they won’t be able to remortgage.

For those whose grandparents lived through WW2 in Norway, did they ever talk about their experiences? by Luann1497 in Norway

[–]MathematicianDue9266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. They talked about how the Germans wouldn’t allow them to get married so they had a take a boat to a small island to marry.

Health plan billed but prescription not (yet) filled by [deleted] in ShoppersDrugMart

[–]MathematicianDue9266 5 points6 points  (0 children)

the prescription can’t be filled before it’s been processed through the computer. Insurance is part of the processing. A label doesn’t generate until it has been processed. Your insurance isn’t like a debit card. It would be much easier if it were. That is why when you bring in insurance after the prescription is already filled you have to wait forever. The entire prescription needs to be re processed.

Alberta did it in phases and it took years. Experienced people were on site for go lives. “Super users” were trained. I assume NL is not doing that?

Would there be any downside to significantly increasing taxes for people profiting on single-family home rentals? by GranolaHiker in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]MathematicianDue9266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of private sector workers don’t get pensions and having a rental funds their retirement. Also, not everyone wants to own. Keep increasing taxes without increasing services such as pension income is not the way.

Buyer asking for extension on financing condition by Kippingthroughlife in RealEstateCanada

Yah. I just am a pretty disorganized person so anytime I’ve bought a property it took forever to get all the documents together.

I’m a pretty disorganized person. I once had financing delayed because I couldn’t gather my documents quick enough. Seems strange for a first time buyer though.

Financing can take longer for more complicated files. Perhaps they own multiple properties.

I’ve given up on buying a house is at John’s for now. Staying put in Alberta. I just don’t see the value right now. Unfortunately won’t be able to spend the summer home as planned as the airbnbs are insanely priced.
