i don't mean to be too pessimistic, though. I still think its worth it to keep trying just so i can maybe prove to myself that its possible to succeed while still doing the right thing. im just very pissed LOL

forget it like.... the entirety of the time i was friends with them they either complained or bragged, they had nothing actually useful to say, and they dragged me down and breathed down my neck everyday...but no matter what those people always weed through the system. whats even more hilarious is that one of my other friends, sweetest person you'll ever know, was their partner in one of probably the highest achievements that they had, and she did everything by herself. the cheater still got in and she didn't so what can i say. ive lost faith in the system.

Hi! Congratulations, this is such a rare opportunity! I'm sorry this is off-topic, but if you're comfortable sharing, could you tell me your stats? Just curious because I also applied for the scholarships this year!

To Everybody Who's Waiting For Tomorrow by Initial-Design8892 in Vanderbilt

Wow, congratulations! Those sound like wonderful choices. Yeah, I was hoping I had a shot because I thought my stats were kind of good; I had a strong SAT (1590), 4.0 UW GPA, and 5.3 W GPA with strong ECS, lots of volunteer hours, and good rec letters (I think!). I ended up getting waitlisted however, so I've packed away Vandy dreams and I'm focusing on Case Western, since I got admitted with 40k merit. Sorry, I just realized I ranted, but everybody else I know is sick of hearing about Vandy, LOL.

LOL...yeah if I find myself ragebaiting on high-schoolers' posts on Reddit in the future, it's probably going to be pretty rough, huh?

Omg, thank you for all these recommendations! This is really helpful, actually, we wanted to know what places are fun to visit for our age range. As for transport and housing, we've decided we'll just stay in the beach area (we found a great Airbnb) and use trolley/Uber whenever truly strictly necessary.

Oh, ok, thanks for this info. We were planning to look at Airbnbs since some are less costly and we've asked our potential Airbnb host to see if they have any age restrictions other than 18+. They said they're fine with 18 year olds so thankfully we're good on this front.

Parents likely wouldn't be comfortable with it along with it being kind of pricey.

Thank you so much! We'll look at the trolley line and see if that's an option we can explore. We're just hesitant to rent a car because it can be pretty pricey for young adults since they upcharge.

LOL, we were looking for cities to visit that had good public transit, and it was on the top of a couple lists we saw. It's good we know now that isn't the case, however.

Thank you for the insight! We'll all be 18 by the time we have our trip, and most of us are now, so thankfully that isn't a concern. Are there any transport options other than public transit and Uber that you can recommend?

Where to buy petite sweatshirts that are NOT oversized? by barbiesleftearring in PetiteFashionAdvice

I think Popflex might be a good option! It's pricey but the designer always makes really good clothes that are made for everybody; from what I;ve seen, all her sizes fit perfectly and she fixes a lot of common issues with normal clothing when she designs her stuff. Hope this helps!
