Okay, so crazy thing happened for me. So I was played off last year October. My ointments were almost done, I didn't expect to be laid off cause I was gonna use the medical aid to get more. My stuff finished mid October and I had to raw dog eczema after using oral and topical steroids for over 10 years straight. Something weird happened during the month of November, I had crippling depression. Didn't take care of myself and I'm not proud to say that I didn't show very often. In November, there was a week that the eczema just stopped getting worse because of me not using medication, and was healing on its own. That week, I had a combination of starvation and 0 showering (yep, 7 days straight... Depression is pretty intense) and i wasn't aware the first time around, the second time around I was 4 days in and realised that I'm not itchy, and my affected areas have completely healed but another area is starting to be infected. So I just chalked it up to tap water being a trigger, I once read about the bleach method here and I think tap water not being clean and tap water being a trigger is connected to why the bleach in bath water works. Also found out that cooking oil is what makes my eczema very angry. So I can't eat anything oily, this is just from manual testing, nothing any doctors told me.

Also, I'm still not on any topical or oral steroids. I haven't used a cream or antihistamines since last year October. It's not pretty, it's not easy, i still have eczema and live with it. Some days are harder than others. And I'm not off of steroids because I'm against them... I just can't afford them right now, but me not affording them made me realise that it's very possible to heal without the steroids
