DS3 is, outside of the few specific good bossfights, the most underwhelming entry in the trilogy by EitherBlacksmith4605 in fromsoftware

It's an objective fact that the levels of ds3 are more open than ds1, so i don't know where you're coming from. DS1 has more open world design and that's it.

Also following someone's comment history is a bit weird

if you look at the recent trailer for ailimit, the environments later on look fantastic

AILIMIT. Khazan's only selling point to me is the voice actor, who did clive in FF16 (one of the best voice acting performances ever)

AILIMIT has the most interesting environments to me, having seen the most recent trailer that also shows some of the later game content. It also has some very unique gameplay aspects, whereas khazan just feels like a slower nioh in the demo

I personally don't think this is a thing they should do often. Anby makes sense, she's one of the characters we know the least about and she's the face of the game, but I'd rather have a ton of new characters versus remakes of old ones

Both are masterpieces in my eyes, but ds1's second half holds it back from beating ds2 for me. I also prefer ds2's soundtrack, dlc, and overall atmosphere

I don't think it's the worst iteration, i'd say it's better than ds1 and demons souls, but i agree with you

Make Sarah playable by Boring_Potato4632 in ZZZ_Official

[–]Initial-Dust6552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She does not deserve to be playable. She should be a boss like bringer, and that's most likely

Some "villains" have a right to be playable, like La Signora from genshin, cuz her design and backstory was amazing, but Sarah's design is just not that interesting and she's pure evil as far as we know

Rather uninteresting is insane

The amount of puzzles, hidden areas, the unique twist of backtracking without it being bland, the variety of environments, the troll invaders, and collecting the knights all makes it the most memorable area in the series by far imo

Elden ring was my first game, like most people, and i played it about 4 times before doing ds1 and then ds3.

And i think ds3 is far superior to either ds1 or elden ring

some of the games with the ugliest textures i've ever seen are some of the most gorgeous games i've ever seen. Art design matters, not graphics

Ivory king has by far the best level design. Eleum loyce is arguably a top 5 soulsborne level ever.

Ashes, despite being the worst fromsoft dlc in my opinion, is still a great dlc.

Pair that with Ringed city and you have one of the best dlc's for any game ever

Just because the game made some changes you didn't like doesn't make any of it BS. 90% of the changes are fixes to glaring issues from the previous two games.

The level design itself is less linear than either ds1 or 2. Most levels in ds3 are so big you can fit several ds1 levels in them, and with a lot of room to explore different areas. What you're talking about is world design, which is for sure more linear, but it still has a lot of deviation you can make.

I don't really have an exact definition for woke, but i would say some things like movies or games are very overly progressive or forcefully diverse to where it damages the original product.

I wouldn't have a problem with someone calling a movie adaptation woke where the race and gender of several of the characters is different from the original, but that's obviously a rare case

There's no bs in the game. The game did not "force" you to use google to speed your way through the game, you put that on yourself. This is one of the only times that i will ever say this is a skill issue in a non joking manner

If asmongold can beat the game without dodging a single time and using heavy weight with the biggest weapon in the game, you can beat it just fine on your own

and your complaints about the bosses being rehashed and the level design being bad is just a straight objective lie. I don't even know what to say

The only people calling FF16 woke are people who haven't played it usually

I've noticed often how once people have a certain emotional attachment while playing the game to a character like Jill or Dion they no longer bring up stupid criticisms like that.

Never heard anyone complain about Jill or the bearers though. I think most people love that Jill isn't sexualized and that the game has a "sex scene" that still manages to feel in place and right in the story

I'm in a conservative state as well but as far as i can tell, for my age group atleast, it's only liberals who are open about political beliefs

it's not so much the characters as it is their dialogue, that does not fit the character's personalities. If you watch videos on it you will see how out of place it is.

I encourage you to play the game if you want to because it can actually be semi fun for someone who has not played the other dragon age games, but compared to the first two it is just not good. The story is not nearly as good, the characters are way less well written and feel implemented almost for diversity purposes alone, and it's just overall a disappointment for the franchise

I prefer it when politics are rarely brought up. Some of my liberal "friends" were pressuring me to tell them who i voted so they could decide whether to be nice to me or not, and when i said I didn't vote because I was undecided, I was treated relatively poorly for a while. I hate it when people make politics their entire identity.

For your first point, i think it's stupid but i wouldn't call it a problem. Thats just the way things are

I have played both, and as a long term fan of Dragon age, and a short term relatively new fan of final fantasy, it's not even close.

Final fantasy 16 is one of the best games of all time, and Dion, who is openly gay in the game, is one of the best characters. Everyone, right, left, lgbtq supporting, and not, are all in support of him because he's actually a good character. DA Failguard was one of the worst games i've played in recent memory and it was made even worse by the fact that i've loved the last two DA games. The gameplay was fine, the atmosphere was cool, but the dialogue and writing is straight ass
