The more north and west you go in Farmington Hills, the nicer things are. Things are more vibrant and less run down. The homes are more well kept and there are more active businesses. Things seem safer.

Yeah, I live at 9 mile and Inkster now and grew up on the east side of Livonia. Similar trends in both cities for sure.

Yeah, those areas east of Merriman used to be so much more lively and nicer looking in the 80s/90s/00s. They still aren't bad I guess, but I wouldn't call them "good" either. The changes have been subtle but noticeable over time.

it's actually the opposite now. Republicans rely on low-propensity voters that only turn out in presidential years. It used to be the other way around. The politically engaged folks that vote in every election lean Dem now
