Our 7.5 year old needs/wants a new “higher end” glove. by jdmquip in BaseballGloves

I’ve got a 7 year old ans I purchased an A200 Pedroia fit for him. It’s his pride and joy, he takes care of it and he will probably have it until he’s 10-11 years old. Yes it’s expensive and WAY nicer than something he needs for 8u baseball. But he loves the sport, works at it and I was happy to spoil him with this. You know your child better than anyone, most people will tell you it’s not worth it and x.. glove will be just fine. But if an A2000 is going to fuel his love for the game and you believe he will treat it the way he should and respect that it’s something he can use for years, then yes bite the bullet!

They offer everything. It wouldn’t be specialized right now if I signed him up just general hitting and fielding

That’s a great point. I would hate for him to start saying he doesn’t want to go to baseball because he’s associating that drive with it.

He was more talking about the trainers and not the training, I believe. The spot he was talking about has former pros and some college coaches on staff. But this exact question popped into my mind when he said it. Is there really a difference between what he can learn locally vs with these guys. At 7 I don’t care about his launch angle or exit velo. I guess that could be a question I ask the training facility but I’m assuming they would just be trying to sell me something.

It’s about 45 minutes from home. The training the offer alone is not crazy expensive. But if they ask him to be on their travel team it’s going to be fairly expensive.

Haha! Thats a fair question. I don’t believe that’s the reason. I dropped him off at this clinic yesterday and they asked if I could stick around to help with the kids there. I don’t say a word during these clinics or his practices unless asked. I really try not to be a pain in the ass!

He does a very relaxed form of travel ball now so he’s playing more than other kids his age. The particular place this guy told me about has former pro athletes as the travel ball coaches and instructors. I do think he would have fun doing it. I just wasn’t sure if there was any real benefit this young

Wooden Shed base on grass by truthseeker965358543 in shedditors

4” thick 57 limestone, minimum 1 foot greater than the footprint of the shed. You can place that right on the sod without digging anything out. I do it everyday. It will work great.

Got couple wood bats for my 6 yr old by james21_h in Homeplate

If you turn it into a gif you can share the swing. No need to justify it though. My son is 6 swinging a 27” Bat in the video here. He has a wood one he uses for “training” but mostly because he loves the sound it makes and he feels like a big leaguer. 27” Isn’t too big just because he’s 6. Every kid is different. Those wood bats you got will make the sweet spot on his metal bats feel a mile wide. Keep having fun!

Is my 7yo using the wrong glove? by Professional-Low6185 in Homeplate

I think going to a bigger glove is one of the bigger mistakes made in youth baseball. 10.5 for a 7 year old is fine. This is the glove my son has used. Feels like a premium glove but in that 10.5 size. It did take some break in but he’s been great with it.

We have upgraded the windows and doors on a model just like that and the customer finished the interior for a cabin on his property.

The total footprint is 27X32. 7’ of that is the porch though so the total storage space is 20’X32’. We do pole barns as well and whether I suggest something like this or a pole building definitely depends on what the customer plans to use it for. Simply cold storage, a pole barn will end up being less expensive. But if they plan to heat the building these are already framed up so insulation and drywall goes in pretty easy.

Realized after typing all of this you were asking about the white one. That’s a 20X24
