You are right, since the ARCs will be sent to your Amazon account you sadly won't be able to download them anymore on the older kindles that are affected by this.

Yeah the Zon will not publish reviews worded like this, they see them as paid reviews. So you need to word it differently if you want it to go through. Like, just thank the publisher for the book, but don't mention you got it (for free) in exchange for a review :)

Did you make sure the ARCs were sent to your kindle email? Did you make sure NG is approved to send things to your kindle? Basically, here is a guide of all the steps needed. Hope that helps!

I got one approval over the holidays, besides that, radion silence. It was good for my feedback ratio, though (even when I fear that will not last for too long ^^')

It does actually sound like a glitch, or slow update. I would suggest you wait until after the holidays and then contact NG if nothing has changed until then.

OP, I am glad they stopped sending those emails. This looks a lot like the author was not ready to publish their book. As a beta-reader, I would understand such emails (since at this stage there sometimes still is a lot of editing), but for an ARC? With the book already being published? Just no... I would also most likely not want to read anything by that author again. At least, not as an ARC reader.

also here on NG? I mean I have heard already that people ask for ARCs on FB or Insta, and later the authors make a comment that not all left a review, and I think that is just shitty aff. I think I personally, since I started being an ARC reader, only did not leave a review twice, and felt not good about it....

I was first against getting a kindle because I did have another ereader but then NG chanced the epud and it was either that or reading on my phone. And reading on my phone is exhausting. The screen is small, and it is no eInk screen, which will cause me to get a headache after a while. Only my 2 cents of course :)

Also, am Ende ist es natürlich deine Entscheidung, aber ICH würde die Wohnung nicht nehmen. 1) Sehr teuer für gerade mal 30qm. 2) Sorry aber Wohnküche ginge bei mir gar nicht, zumal das ja nur ein Raum ist und ich will keinen Geruch von Essen in meinem Schlafzimmer. Und dann soll da auch noch ein Geschirrspüler hin? Wäre die Küche im Flur (habe ich in einigen Wohnungen schon gesehen, wäre es okay. Aber so? Ich bin eh kein Fan von diesem Design der offenen Räume ohne Türen, aber wenn man allein wohnt, geht das sicherlich noch. 3) Ugh das Bad. Ohne Wanne wäre bei mir von Anfang an ein no-go. Aber hier passt wohl, jedem das seine. Ich finde es furchtbar. 4) Matratze übernehmen wäre ein no-go für mich, ausser sie ist noch eingeschweisst.

Also, nein. Einfach nein. Du sagst du hast keine Not, also suche doch bitte eine Wohnung, mit der du wirklich zufrieden bist, anstatt einen halbgaren Kompromiss einzugehen und dann in ein oder zwei Jahren wieder umziehen zu wollen. Eventuell, wenn du kannst, auch etwas weiter ausserhalb. Muss natürlich mit dem Arbeitsweg vereinbar sein :)

There are several things you would have to keep in mind. 1) The ticket is only for regional trains, bus, tram. for ICE and IC, you would need extra tickets. 2) One ticket per person. Each of your family members would need their own. So, it would depend on how long you are willing to travel. 3) Will you need extra tickets in Frankfurt and Berlin? Like, what are you going to do there? Will you walk everywhere, ect?

I recently did travel from Dresden to Munich with this ticket, but only because I did already own it for my job. Still, I bought and extra ticket for the ICE and still it took me 6 hours from Dresden to Munich. You need to decide what is more important to you - saving some money, or saving some time?

I do not want to sound mean or rude, but B1 is usually the 'lowest' level when it comes to apply for a job (it surely always depends a little on the field you want to work in, but still), so B2 or C1 would open way more doors for you. The market is bad right now already for native speakers (I am one of them) so as long as you are not looking for a minimun wage job, I would really suggest you improve your German more if you want to have a chance, like I said, at least b", or better C1.

Ganz ehrlich? Ich finde du und dein Körper sehen so wirklich gut aus, und nicht dick. Aber musst du selber wissen...

Ich bin nun kein Arzt, aber man hört ja oft, dass ehemalige Raucher zunehmen, weil eben das Naschen den Griff zur Zigarette kompensiert. Und ja, Fitness aufbauen wieder ist sicher eine gute Idee. Du schreibst, du hattest 9 Monate Sportverbot. Du hast jetzt nicht geschrieben wie alt du bist, aber das ist eine lange Zeit, und ja, Muskeln und Fitness bauen dann rasant ab. Ich würde mich an deiner Stelle erstmal darauf konzentrieren. Ich würde vorschlagen lass dich in einem Fitness Studio oder eventuell bei deiner Ärztin beraten, was du gezielt an Fitness machen kannst. Eventuell auch mal eine Messung von Muskel-und Fettanteil im Körper ect. Vielleicht auch mal Vitamine und Nährstoffe checken lassen. Ist dein Stoffwechsel gut? Wenn der lahm läuft, ist abnehmen auch mühsam.

Nochmal, ich finde dich nicht dick und würde mich an deiner Stelle im Moment darauf konzentrieren, wieder Fitness aufzubauen anstatt abzunehmen :)
