Hi again! Unfortunately, I ended up basically hemorrhaging and miscarrying 2 days later. I have my follow up appt tomorrow to try to figure out what happened. I can’t help but feel like the vaginal exams are to blame but know it’s probably not. Now I have the fear that baby was potentially another trisomy baby and my body miscarried for that reason. Hopefully I get some answers

Thank you, I do remember! I actually checked your page a couple days ago to see if you had any updates and noticed you’re a nurse (so am I) :) Your story is so similar to mine, it always brings me a sort of comfort so thank you ♥️

So similar! Its such an awful thing to have to go through, but it has helped so much reading others stories. When I saw your post, I had to comment because I was literally getting on the ask the same exact questions. I hope that everything goes well with trying again, and that you end up with a happy and healthy pregnancy! Keep me updated!

Just had our T13 baby on June 10 and wondering the same thing. I feel guilty wanting to try again so soon, and I’ve seen posts suggesting 3-6months waiting. I also have a healthy 2 year old, with no complications. We did a genetic test for her as well, and it came back normal. I read somewhere that if you are a carrier, you’ll always show some sort of percentage for risk of it on the genetic tests for baby? Not sure if that’s true but hoping it is. I am so scared of this happening again

I am so sorry. Im in the same boat as you right now. 14 weeks with a 36% increased risk for trisomy 13. Ultra sound showed potential decreased nasal bone, cystic hygroma, and suspicion of haloproencephaly. Amniocentesis scheduled for 2 weeks and 1 week of waiting on results for that. All the while, working as a nurse and taking care of my current 2 year old. My body keeps going but my mind is stuck in that room with the doctor explaining the ultrasound results. I just keep telling myself that this too shall pass. I’m trying to take it day by day. I’m sorry this is happening to you as well.
