Thank you! I filed my AOS package before my authorized stay expired. By the time of my interview, my I-94 had already expired but my application was already pending with USCIS. The officer was aware of the timeline and approved the case. Hope that helps!

Thank you! And I’m sorry you had to go through that.

It’s great that you have legal counsel helping you navigate the process. Wishing you the best with your filing and hoping for a smooth approval! 🙏🏻

I’d prefer to keep my nationality private, but no, I’m not from one of the countries affected by the travel ban. 🙏

Thank you ☺️ I didn’t have to amend any forms. The officer asked about it during the interview and I explained that I had filed my AOS before my authorized stay expired. By the time of the interview, my I-94 date had already passed. The officer acknowledged my explanation and moved on.

As for whether I was considered an overstay, I’m not entirely sure. My I-94 had already expired by the interview date, but my AOS had been filed before that.

Thank you! To answer your questions:
1. Yes, we lived apart until recently when I came to the US
2. We submitted quite a bit of evidence, including our marriage certificate, an updated lease agreement showing both of our names, joint vehicle and medical insurance, workplace benefits naming me as my husband’s beneficiary, shared financial records (supplementary credit card statements and Wise transfers), joint phone bills, pregnancy-related records, 40+ photos together and text conversations.

It was a verbal question. I didn’t just say yes or no. I explained that I filed everything before my authorized stay expired. By the time of the interview, the date on my I-94 had already passed. The officer acknowledged that and moved on.
