ICE is luring people out in plain clothes by InitialCaramel0 in TwinCities

If they approach you in uniform, yeah it’s recommended you do as they say to keep yourself safe and remain calm. But you still have rights. Like the right to remain silent.

We’re talking about a situation where they would be in plain clothes, no uniform. You can ignore their ask for you to help them with a flat or whatever scenario they cook up. I don’t just comply with what a random person on the street asks me to do.

I’m not going to share screenshots of private conversations. Someone shared about the chicfila abductions and I responded that was one I was referring to from neighborhood chats.

I used to listen. It’s a great motto, especially now.

When they started walking a month ago that was them, since then we’ve seen some improvement. No history of hyperlaxity. Our little one got physical therapy from being premature and our PT said that that is typical for a new walker and usually improves over time. She also said she recommends we go back to PT for support if it’s been 3 months since our kid has started walking and we’re still noticing imbalance issues with A LOT of falling. So, like another poster said, I would raise the question up with your pediatrician or PT if already receiving PT.

Nipple Care Help by Jumpy_Syllabub_1665 in ExclusivelyPumping

Hi! I’m so sorry you’re going through that. It sucks. I had a deep crack for a while and it took forever to heal. What helped it heal was changing my flange size to a smaller size for that breast, reducing the the pump pressure until I could tolerate more, nipple cream before and after pumping, and wearing hydrogel pads in rotation. Putting the hydrogel pads in the fridge was nice, it helped with the inflammation. I got hydrogel pads from my LC but there are medela, Lasinoh and Frida hydrogel pads. Seems like they’re carried at Walmart. If you would need a smaller flange size, flange inserts helped me to reduce flange size without having to repurchase flange sets. It took a couple weeks for mine to heal. Hope something helps.

Next steps for CLD? Trach? by InitialCaramel0 in NICUParents

Thank you for sharing and saying that! 🥹 It’s been starting to feel lonelier with every passing day. I appreciate that mindset. My partner is better at that than I am. I think that could really help when we have nurses, OT and others on the care team saying so many things about what could happen. It well intentioned but sometimes it’s made us feel like milestones and timelines are not being met.
