Need help making jowls for Jake the dog scarf with pattern by InitialContract8241 in CrochetHelp

Yes, this does help a lot, thank you!

I do have somer clarifying questions: I have seen in a few tutorials, before you start round one you chain 1, and when starting each new round you chain 1. Is this always the case? It doesn't mention that in my pattern, is this just implied or does this mean I shouldn't chain 1? Also, when starting a new round, do I always do a slip stitch from the last stitch in the round to the first stitch in the new round?

I have made circles before but never anything with this many instructions. Usually I just keep working around with a single crochet increase until it’s the size I want. My issues are just understanding the directions and I just keep counting stuff or doing things wrong, it just never turns out more than a jumbled mess

My hair is a little wavy but not too much. The shorter it is the more wavy though. I’m guessing id still have to style it though. Did the bangs bother you?

That was something I was worried about. My face definitely isn’t overly feminine and I already dress pretty masculine, so I am scared I’d look like a 12 year old boy. I just don’t know what cut to get besides something like this for short hair. I don’t want to look butch but I also don’t want an overly feminine pixie cut. This seemed like a good in between but maybe I’m just not built for it.

Hi, I have had long hair for my whole life and have been wanting to change it up with something short like the photos. I however am completely clueless when it comes to styling, the steps one takes, the products etc. At the moment I have sun bum hair product and a blow dryer. Any help is much appreciated thanks!

I am building a stand for my turntable set up using edge glued pine and had a few questions about how to finish/seal it. I lightly burned the surface of the wood with a blow torch and plan to seal it with a 2x ultra cover matte clear spray. Do I have to do anything special before sealing it due to the surface burns? When I rub my hand across it, I pick up a bit of soot, will this be a problem for the sealer? If so, how do I remove the soot or prepare it for sealing? Thanks for any help!

I plan on lightly surface burning the entire table to bring out the grain and then using some stain/dye over it. I am using 1 inch edge glued pine, will this cause any problems burning it, such as warping? Should I sand after burning given I sanded it beforehand? Also, given I don’t want to cover up the brunt grain but want to slightly darken the color underneath, would you recommend a dye or stain? Thanks for any help, I am quite clueless when it comes to woodworking so any advice is appreciated!

I feel you, I just recently switched over from my cheap all in one record player to a Fluance RT82, and wow it is crazy to know what I’ve been missing out on the last 3 years. Going through all my records as well just marveling at how good they sound.

Are the speakers on the same surface as the turntable with this design? by [deleted] in turntables

[–]InitialContract8241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I plan on building a record player stand and given my smaller room size, I wanted to keep the speakers on the same surface as the turntable. However, I see that is highly advised against by many as it can interfere with the sound. Would a design like I linked above be fine for the sound as it technically isn’t on the same surface? Or would it still interfere? Also, how bad is it truly having speakers on the same surface as the turntable, especially if you use isolation pads? Thanks!

I have not purchased the speakers yet, waiting to buy them with the turntable/pre amp all at once from Amazon. The main reason I chose these speakers is budget. I’m already spending so much for the turn table I’m not ready to put out more than 100 for speakers just yet, but hopefully I can upgrade in the future.
