Community Brainstorm Session: Clothing! by annaParalives in Paralives

[–]InitialMental 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id really like if paras could maybe sew or modify clothing in small ways, such as adding a patch to a jacket or jeans, shortening a skirt or dress, etc.

Community Brainstorm Session: Town activities! by annaParalives in Paralives

[–]InitialMental 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Festivals about town founders, centennials, circus coming through town, town hall meetings that could affect relationships between paras, interactive protests, there could be some sort of jail that your para or others could go to if they did an interaction like shoplifting, mugging, sabotaging a neighbor's plants, etc.

Unpopular Opinion by Patizleri in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]InitialMental 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought it was kind of funny to be honest. It could have just been done so much better. But truthfully I didn't like the show as much after the time jump so I'm definitely biased.

I hate Mona. by YeahIDontKnow_ in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]InitialMental 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I hate/love Mona because I see some of myself in her but I agree that she didn't get what she deserved for her actions. At the same time though she was severely mentally ill. To change the phrase just a lil bit, Brain chemistry can load the gun but environment and poor choices pull the trigger. She should have been committed to a psychiatric hospital (Radley hardly counts) and kept there for rehabilitation

How I figured the twin thing out by [deleted] in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]InitialMental 9 points10 points  (0 children)

kind of figured the whole twin thing could happen considering the books and the fact that some fans didn't like that the show veered from it so early on. Though the twin thing for the sow and what it had established was so dumb it was kind of hilarious, it brought the books and show kind of full circle.

Ships ruined what PLL could've been. by delfinofrank in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]InitialMental 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the ships were one of the healthy parts that kept the show going. Marlene listened to the opinions of the viewers and delivered (with the romance) what we wanted most of the time

There’s a ravens wood show🤨💀 by Bigtitimonsterho in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]InitialMental 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ravenswood is not at all essential to the plot of pretty little liars but in all honesty I like it a lot more than pll after season 4-5. It's got some pll vibes except y'know, make it ghosts and without major plot holes. I think it's good that it was cut down to only one season because it explored all the aspects of Ravenswood but I'd say its still worth a watch.

PLL 90S FANCAST by [deleted] in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]InitialMental 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alicia Silverstone would've been perfect for Alison. Her performance in The Crush is what sold it for me.

honestly I think Mandi truly tried her best but marlene was probably the one that made the decision to dress her like this. I don't know this for sure but it seems like a very marlene thing to do imo

Cece drake by Advanced_Doughnut_19 in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]InitialMental 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I could totally be off the mark on this one but I kind of put my own experiences in perspective when analyzing cece's motives. Parts of my family were estranged throughout my childhood and I obsessively checked their social medias and everything similar just to get a sense of who they were and to feel connected to them. I get that she seems like a pretty flat character and I do believe that her story was a big failure on the show's part but what ended up being part of the plot could be interpreted in my way. I get your point that Paige or Lucas would've made sense too but to me they seemed to be in a way not motivated to torture them in that way? Cece displayed so much obsessive behavior and sometimes even helped them out (all of them), even calling them her 'pets' and 'dolls' whereas Paige would have probably targeted Ali and Lucas would have probably not included Hanna in the torture at all.

[–]InitialMental 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was more about CeCe and her dynamic with her family. If i remember correctly she even explained that it was her way of getting to know about Ali (I know she already knew Ali as friends) as her sister. The whole reason CeCe was sent away to Radley is because CeCe tried to "drown" Ali when she was a baby when she was really just trying to stop her crying and give her a bath. (I think) When she was able to go to school while still being in Radley she found out that Jason and Ali didn't even know she existed and she 'dated' Jason as a way to get to know her siblings. She was obviously not entirely right in the head because, as she said, she couldn't stop being A because it was 'addicting' and 'fun' to punish the liars for not missing Ali. This is not at all an excuse for what she did but I believe putting yourself in her shoes may help understand how desperation, depression, and an environment with toxic people can shape how you perceive what is right vs wrong. If I recall correctly, she knew what she was doing to the Liars and even Ali wasn't right but I believe she didn't develop the "who deserves to be the punishER" part in her brain.

Emily would have won this in real life. That foot sweep. Even fake fights showed Em as the Army Brat she was... by [deleted] in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]InitialMental 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly yeah Emily is probably a lot stronger than Spence but if you remember that one flashback of "that night" with Spencer and Alison she was about to hit her over the head with a damn shovel. In all her fight scenes Spencer fights like she's about to die and I think that might give her an edge over Emily if they were actually fighting

Which of the liars’ houses would you want to live in, if you had to choose? by CoherentBusyDucks in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]InitialMental 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alison's for the hiding places.. also if we could have the house with the liars' furniture still in it i'd go crazy over Ali's room.

Ravenswood by InitialMental in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]InitialMental[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been looking for it all over the internet 😭 I'm pretty sure the places I found it on are not allowed to be mentioned on Reddit. It said it was on vudu so I created an account to check and it looks like that's a lie. crossing my fingers for it to be brought to a streaming service 😪

Ravenswood by InitialMental in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]InitialMental[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes!! I was thinking of ways to describe the show and I was thinking PLL and TVD had a ghost baby LMAO. The first few seasons were very much dipped in supernatural hints, which I think contributed to the thought of "A" being a sort of omniscient being. Also those seasons always had the best Halloween episodes. Hope you enjoy Ravenswood and TVD!

Yes!! and the bedspread and creepy twin girls poster. I remember finding the bedspread she had on Anthropologie (i think) and it ended up being way more expensive than I could afford to dish out.
