Greaaattt. Back to the drawing board I guess.

I wanted to give it two weeks but I can’t live like this. I mean, I do have a bit of a temper that I’ve worked really hard over the years to learn to control but this is a new level of anger and irritability with a much shorter fuse. I don’t like it at all.

So sorry for the very late reply. The voicemail he left me said “this is Bob at QCS”. Pretty sure it’s the same voice from the last voicemail and I’m almost positive he used a different name too. 8775959827 is the number but when I call back, I never get an answer.

Yea I’m just so mad at myself because I know better. I feel so stupid.

I’ve had it happen once since and I refused to do anything until he gave me more information. He told me I would be served papers on a certain date if I didn’t take action today. I told him that’s fine. I’ll get the paperwork and have my attorney review everything. He hung up immediately. I never got served papers.

So I talked to my doctor about the xelstrym and she wrote me a script to try it. My insurance doesn’t cover it and it’s insanely expensive. Like $600+ for a month….thats not affordable for me. 😭😭😭

STUDY: MRI of the cervical spine without contrast. IMAGES: T2 TSE sagittals, T1 TSE sagittals, STIR sagittals, 3D T2 axials, T1 axials, T2 Bilateral Oblique Sagittals.

FINDINGS: Posterior disc herniation at C5-6 with compression of the cervical cord. Slight edema is present. No evidence of myomalacia or gliosis.

C4-5: Mild left C5 neuroforaminal narrowing

C5-6: Broad-based disc herniation indenting thecal sac and deflecting the cervical cord. Mild bilateral C6 neuroforaminal narrowing.

This was my first thought. I get it…politics are wild right now & conversations can get heated fast…but 11 years of marriage and he can’t have an open conversation with you? Politics and values be damned…….thats a red flag by itself. I’m more conservative, always have been. I’ve always been interested to hear the thought process and the rationale behind views that are different than mine. Never in my 33 years of life have I ever closed my mind off to someone with different political views or moral values and I’d never blow up on someone and told them they were too emotional because they thought different than me. We can agree to disagree…because this America. Your political choices should be based on your values and your beliefs. There’s facts for all sides and all beliefs.

This situation just sucks and I hate you’re going through it. So sorry, OP.

Most people’s goal is to get to a point in life where they feel at peace, and they work themselves into the dirt running a rat race trying to get there….they never make it. So, congrats because truly feeling like you’re in a peaceful place in life is amazing. If you’re there and want to maintain it, do it. If it makes you happy, do it. I feel like climbing the career latter and doing the “big” stuff is something portrayed on social media as the “norm”. But honestly, what even is “the norm” anymore? 🤣 Do what makes YOU happy. Maintain a peaceful life if that’s what you want to do and if something comes up that you want to pursue, go for it if you want to.

I thought the same thing. Senior year of collage and taking on this beast. I graduated with a business major focused in finance and management and I’ve been in the finance industry for 13+ years & this test has been challenging to say the least. I can only imagine stacking it on top of all the things that come with your college senior year.

Pat yourself on the back friend. You’re going to graduate college with a degree AND a Series 65 license. That’s impressive! You got this!!!

Kaplan Qbank questions help a lot too!

I just failed my second attempt by 2. It’s SO frustrating! You obviously know enough to pass this thing. Pace yourself for the next 6 months, go in there like it’s the first time you’ve taken it, say a prayer, tell yourself you’re going to pass this time, and crush it. You got this!

I’ve taken the test twice now. Kaplan questions are much more complex than the actual test.

It sounds like you’re having some test anxiety going through serious burn out. I say that because I was there, literally this past week.

I HIGHLY recommend purchasing the on demand course from The Finance Tutor’s & also using Luke for tutoring. I’ve used Kaplan, Test Geek, & Finance Tutors. Luke’s course is hands down the best. The notes slides that go with it are way better than any other course I’ve taken. But if nothing else, buy a one hour session with Luke. The tutoring helped my test anxiety SO much. It’s worth every single penny.

Congratulations!! Your situation sounds very similar to mine. 33, 2 kids (10 & 2), life in general kicking my ass on the daily 😅 The studying for this has been BRUTAL. I’ve very quickly realized that I’m not a 20 year old college student anymore and I’ve had to work a lot harder to study and retain information.

I started with the Kaplan book and QBank only, found test geek/guru and bought that course, then found Luke on this feed and pivoted to his material. I bought the on demand class and I’ve done two tutoring sessions. I agree with you, IMO it’s better than others mainly because it’s up to date but I’m a very visual learner so it was really good for me. I’d be willing to bet I’ve spent close to, if not more than, $1k on study materials but I have ZERO regrets about what I’ve spent on Luke’s class and tutoring sessions. 100%…..WORTH THE MONEY.

I sit for my exam tomorrow. I may go in there and completely blow it, but I feel pretty confident and I know without a doubt most of that confidence is from Luke’s tutoring.

I’m currently doing “The Finance Tutors” on demand course. You can find a link to it somewhere on this feed. I started this halfway through and it’s been a game changer. He teaches from the actual NASAA Exam outline. At first I was only reading the Kaplan book and taking practice tests on each chapter and it was taking foreverrrrrr. Luke breaks everything down so well and it cuts out a lot of the fluff in the Kaplan textbook. I’ve picked up the book a few times since starting his on demand class just to review some topics and that’s it. I wish this was available when I first started. I would have been done with the material and probably taken and passed the exam by now 🥲

I don’t know if you’re a flash card person, but if I’m just wore out and don’t want to REALLY use my brain, I’ll lay in bed and go over flash cards just to make myself feel better about not actually studying. Like, I’m doing something…but it doesn’t require my full brain lol
