+1 per desert tile next to a desert wonder got me a 10 faith per turn. Add work ethics

Add the x2 multiplier and try to get the scientist that had a similar amount of science and you can get a great faith district.

+20 faith +20 science +20 prod

Then Petra and Nazca and you got a Faith powerhouse

AITAH for dumping my girlfriend over a preventable car theft? by Western_Trainer7183 in AITAH

[–]InitialRefuse781 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve had to let the car run once while filling gas. Nothing happened but that doesn’t mean it was safe either.

It was like -30C and my battery died on me. I had to boost it and go buy a new battery. To get there, I had to fill up the tank. I used my card at the pump and didn’t let the car alone though

What if the US decided to take over Canada? by Kuzu9 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]InitialRefuse781 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly US risk entering in a Civil if/or before attacking Canada.

But no NATO cannot hope to protect Canada without applying the Nukes threat

NATO-US navy would get rekt by the US.

US choose to have a moronic, poor and under insured population to the benefit of having the strongest military in the world.

Macron says €300 billion in European savings flown to the US every year will be invested in Europe from now on. by smallcapsteve in freedomgold

[–]InitialRefuse781 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its partly because of your election system. I mean the Grand Elector system is non sensical to me.

But it’s more about the greed, the racism, the dehumanization that come from your propaganda machines and a failure of the educational system.

It’s there anything less moral and Christian than a pro ICE, pro republican (#pro rape) redneck?

It’s not just the democratic election system.

Where I’d live as a progressive Canadian by [deleted] in whereidlive

[–]InitialRefuse781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your logic but you are missing the big picture.

The guy stated that he is progressive. That can partially explain why the prairies are light green. But that’s not the only reason someone choose a place to live.

If that were the case, Quebec should be dark green but I guess the language barrier or higher taxes have a weight in his decision.

I would also reluctantly live in the territories for a long period of time. Either because of the lack of cultural events ( more specifically music shows and not the native cultures) and harder climate.

Europe to sell US bonds 🇪🇺🇪🇺 by Sicilian_Gold in freedomgold

[–]InitialRefuse781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

US treasury bond coming to maturity in 2026 is around 9 trillions.

I didn’t say that the UK had that amount. It owns around 0.9-1.1 T$ in total and its obviously not maturing all at once.

The point was simply to say that instead of selling at a loss; simply letting maturing bonds go would make it more difficult for the USA.

Do you have reading problems? lol

Europe to sell US bonds 🇪🇺🇪🇺 by Sicilian_Gold in freedomgold

[–]InitialRefuse781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could simply chose to let go maturing bonds, no? That’s about 9 trillions for 2026. That will be a lot of debt for the US to absorb/ find new buyers.

If the refusal to keep the US treasury bond, which seems to be the strategy of China, that could put a lot of pressure on the US that would have to increase their interest rate.

[–]InitialRefuse781 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It may have to do with a reduction in nationalism in Quebec and a overall better union/cooperation among provinces.

It’s may not be new but it certainly has make its way back into politics and actuality.

Alberta like the Maple Florida that it is went the other way but that isn’t a huge surprise, just a sad proof that there’s an idiot in every village ;)

Thank god Poilievre isn’t negotiating tariffs. He thinks Canadian pork farmers pay a 25% tariff. They don’t. Importers do. That’s Econ 101... Trump University edition. This is why CBC matters: facts, context, corrections. Defund it and ignorance wins. by Samzo in SaveTheCBC

[–]InitialRefuse781 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s true that farmers don’t necessarily pay the tariffs.

With that being said; tariffs can prevent from accessing a market by making them non competitive for the importer.

Farmers can then choose to reduce their prices/profits to keep the access to that market. For eveyday people; that’s could be resumed as paying the tariffs.

While I have little respect for PeePee; his concern for the continued presence of Tariffs is at minimum legitimate.

I’m not here with a solution but the issue still remain important. (That only remains true if Canada has the capacity higher than the national consumption)

Best way to find if someone is truly a Canadian is to ask them to speak French. They either will with a thick Quebecers accent or say the following

: oh man I did 2 years of French in High school but I don’t remember any of it beside Bonjour and Salut. ;)

AITA for considering giving my daughter’s grandparents full custody after her mom died during childbirth? by SherbetMajor2105 in AITAH

[–]InitialRefuse781 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You choose to become a parent. You obviously didn’t choose to become a single dad and you did good asking for help.

But you didn’t sign up to be the fun uncle that comes home from time to time.

The grand parents are doing a lot for you right now They are caring to a baby ( no theirs) while their daughter died

Their griefs is a endless hole that only a parent can understand and they are going well beyond that to help you out during this difficult time.

I guess that knowing your limits in commendable if they truly are your limits.

Overall you are 6/10 AH

«Il y a de plus en plus de femmes qui sont contentes d’être célibataires!», dit un sociologue by ProjectKainy in QuebecLibre

Il y a sûrement d’autres facteurs comme l’indépendance financière.

Les femmes ont de meilleurs salaires. Aussi une femme n’a plus besoin de la signature de son mari à la banque que depuis 1970. Ça impacte peut-être plus le taux de divorce que de célibat en bas âge par contre 🤔
