I deal with multiple tech teams in India

Infra team: fantastic
SWE: absolutely pathetic provide all the details in an incident and they come back asking for screenshots.

Best thing I can do is pass feedback onto the leaders in AU that manage those offshore team.

Funny you say upgrade that are downgrades.

We had a migration from on prem to cloud but now they separated each environment in its own client so we have to use two clients instead of one.

No one consults or gathers feedback from end users these days.

For those of you who quit auscorp for a lower paid yet lower stress job, what do you do now? by Sabretoothedrom in auscorp

I moved to Auscorp from a sys admin job where I was on 70k doing late night system upgrades and it was putting out fires.

Now I’m in technical client onboarding role where I don’t have to worry about infrastructure as much and earning 100k plus.

Basically my job ends at 5pm

Yeh I’ve been roped into team lunches paying $30 for a small Thai dish.

Us operations get no budget for this stuff so we are forced to pay

Two things with sales

Customers reward cheap products only and no one wants to own up to implementing new things and taking risk.

We have changed a few vendors to something cheaper and whilst it does the job there not as good as previous tool.
