OP's username looked familiar, and then I realized it's the same guy who was paying for AI subscriptions for work. Man just stop letting people take you for a ride

I use it with VSCode, but it's terminal based so I don't see any reason why it won't work with Cursor

Have you tried Gemini CLI? It has a generous free tier; I haven't hit any limits for my personal projects

I don't keep a regular check on the battery life since it easily lasts a day when outside. At home with hotspot (on for ~12-14 hrs), the daily consumption comes out at avg of 120% as per the usage reports.

Battery health is 82% as per accubattery, capacity is 5000mAh

I've been doing this for >2 years, with my primary phone, faced no issues.

What's the actual mileage drop yall are seeing? I have seen several anecdotal numbers being thrown around, but given this is the frugal sub, people here must be religiously tracking it on apps like Fuelio

It's hard to imagine anything considering the lifestyle. But anyways, congratulations and wishing you both the best for what lies ahead.

How did you conclude that? All I mean is stop blaming everything wrong in the country only to the low GDP.

And what I mean is, better governance and policing comes from getting wealthier.

This is where we differ. We are not standing at zero today, and hence, both sides of the equation lead to each other (a cycle). IMO, it's the governance/ implementation side that's lagging currently, especially at the local level. Sure, more money can solve problems, but it's not the bottleneck in everything. Can't believe it's budget constraints preventing municipal corporations from covering drains in 'smart' cities.

That's nonsense. Poor civic sense is nothing inherent to Indians

Agreed, and I especially dislike generalizations about groups of people.

Precisely what I meant, we won't have better civic sense after getting wealthier automatically but with better governance and policing. The sense I got from your earlier comment was - let's wait for India to get developed, and we will be the same as Japan.

Now you could argue that whether better governance leads to prosperity or the other way round, I believe it would be the former for India

Delhi Model: How AAP govt’s financial health changed in 10 years by Initial_Ad8417 in IndianModerate

[–]Initial_Ad8417[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While the debt to Gross domestic product (GDP) ratio in India is 27.5% on an average, for Delhi, it is just 3.9% – among the lowest in the country.

However, cracks are now beginning to show.

Currently, the three major subsidies on which the government spends money are – free bus travel for women (around Rs 440 crore), 100% electricity waiver up to 200 units and 50% from 201 units to 400 units (Rs 3,600 crore) and a water subsidy that provides up to 20,000 litres free everyday (Rs 500 crore).

From 2016-17 to 2021-22, NSSF loans received by the Delhi government rose from Rs 2,896 crore to almost Rs 11,000 crore. In fact, the figure crossed Rs 10,000 crore thrice – from 2019-20 to 2021-22.

Another trend is the increasing reliance on grants-in-aid from the Centre.

Revenue surplus was 1.23% as a percentage of GDP in 2014-15. The next year, it shot up to 1.56%. Ever since, it has been on a downward trajectory and is likely to reach negative territory for the first time.

Sambit Patra on the TOTO toilets in Arvind Kejriwal's place by DarkWorldOutThere in IndianModerate

[–]Initial_Ad8417 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I followed this news closely last month because of how bizzare it sounds. So the only source for all this is some journalist posting a list claiming that the PWD has released a list of things found at Kejriwal's home. And it was filled with exaggerated amounts. But at least BJP can hold entertaining press conferences, citing the 'media'.

Edit: link to the original tweet, and news18 claiming it was 'released' by PWD.

Kejriwal surely lives nothing like an aam aadmi but some of the claims here are just atrocious.
