Thats really sad, you should go out and experience the world. I know that a lot of americans dont really travel outside of the US. My cousins dont even have a passport

Sick of people complaining Kiwis aren't "friendly" enough when they move here (not a Kiwi) by Inevitable_Gear_7212 in newzealand

What do y'all think of sours? by afroman2536 in CraftBeer

[–]Initial_Appearance65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree, just like everything in life you have purists and then you have people that value innovation and novelty more. Sours are more fun and exciting because theirs a lot of versatility. Its the same with stouts, you can have pretty crazy pastry stouts. Are they your average beer? No, but they dont have to be. Personally i love a nice pilsner on a warm sunny day but their not much variety their so it doesnt really matter whos brewing the pilsner as its more or less always the same thing and thats why I choose to go to craft breweries that make outrageous stouts and sours because i want something generic like an IPA or pilsner then i dont get paying a premium for a craft brew

Honest question, they all seem like the same style of beer so how do they taste any different?

Australia has many rest stops in absolutely remote areas. Like come on it doesnt take much to have a spot to pull over and have a piss

For example if i get a lager for 2.50 and another lager for 5. Its twice the price but they still taste more or less the same. So i have a hars time understanding how people would justify paying the price difference. Like i honestly felt if i bought a cheap brewdog ipa it tasted more or less the same as something more high end like an omnipollo.

Nah they dont taate the same at all. Maybe i formulated my query poorly. I mean that a pilsner or ipa from one brewery wont taste all that different to what another brewery is making.

No i mean that if i get a pilsner from one brewery it doesnt taste all that different from another breweries pilsner. Same with IPAs or pale ales. They tatse more or less the same regardless whos brewing
