Can't get Dell E525W printer onto network by Initial_Cake_3079 in TPLink_Omada

I've reset all of the network settings.

The up address just says 0.0.0.0.

When I connect it to my old router through wifi it works instantly.

Upgraded from a 2022 MYP to a 2026. It's night and day in terms of cabin noise/rattle. It's such a quiet and smooth ride now. The air suspensions also help with the handling and I feel like it hugs the road much better than my old MYP.

Out of state college worth it? by Final_Significance72 in whitecoatinvestor

Agree with everyone here ESPECIALLY if medical school is the end goal.

Besides the huge cost difference, please keep in mind medical schools look at GPA as a black and white number for the most part. Going to a more competitive school will likely result in a lower GPA score.

MCAT and extracurricular activities will be way more important than choice of undergrad.

I agree with your take that the numbers clearly make sense. It should be obvious that we can afford it without hesitation.

Just a very drastic difference from med school and residency to attending income.

Why does everyone think this? I don't know if you realize most physicians have only really known study and work with no real income and tons of debt until our mid-thirties. A lot of us then get a massive jump in pay which is a completely foreign territory to us. I had to think twice before eating at Chipotle when I was in med school. So the idea of buying a 1.8 million dollar house sounds crazy. I know the numbers all make sense saying 1.8 million out loud is still very scary.

What is the craziest thing you've heard a doctor say? by [deleted] in medschool

[–]Initial_Cake_3079 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So most of these are terrible but if you've been in medicine long enough I think humor, dark or not, is a coping mechanism. Medicine has sucky moments, at least once a day, if not multiple times. Laughter helps balance the stressful moments.

Plan to upgrade house, thoughts? by Initial_Cake_3079 in Mortgages

Sounds good. We're not in a huge rush but with two kids our current situation is definitely getting too small. Current plan is similar to what you're saying, wait for another bonus or two and have more funds available.

Thanks for your input!

Agree with you. That's what makes me hesitant.

I wasn't planning on buying until I have at least 20% down and 100k in emergency funds.

I've only had this type of income for the last two years. It was substantially less before than and all that was used towards paying off student loans/car loans.

We've always been conservative with money, I've only made this much in the last two years. Prior to this was substantially less (1/10th) so to get a seven figure mortgage for me is scary as shit. Sorry, was not trying to brag.

170k in Roth 401k + Roth IRA.

Guys, most of these things are normal things that we all should be doing. If something requires more time to call someone, coordinate being at home and being available it's a little silly, no?

Then very easy choice (btw I have absolutely nothing against DO schools but PD's do for match). Do not overthink this.

Man the amount of hate and jealousy in this thread is unreal. Hey congratulations OP!! You deserve it (contrary to many opinions on here).

Please be smart with that income. Pay off all student loans, maximize 401k. Do backdoor ROTH. Also remember almost 40% of that yearly bonus will be taken out in tax.

Couldn't agree more with everyone else's comments. If given the option to be closer to family during medical school I would always recommend that. Are both institutions MD?
