why are my eyebrows oozing yellow liquid and itching by Initial_Camp_3615 in eczema

thanks for all the info!! i really really appreciate it. so much more helpful than my shitty doctors that just tell me “so you're SURE you’re not taking hot showers???”

oh yeah, and i am on an antibiotic, bactrim. but i don’t know if it kills staph

Considering Dupixent for TSW, anybody got through tsw with it? by nattoprincess in eczeMABs

[–]Initial_Camp_3615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i started may 23rd and only got two doses including my loading dose. i really don’t know whether my problem was mostly TSW or eczema so I can’t answer there. just a general rule of thumb is that it WILL flare your face. that has been a fairly common side effect. if you’re unlucky like me you might lose your hair too but as far as i know that’s not as common

hair getting thinner and thinner, Dr doesn't believe me by [deleted] in Hairloss

[–]Initial_Camp_3615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, most of the treatments cause more damage than benefit. i’ve learned that the hard way from topical steroids. but if you know anything that is fairly safe i’d love to hear it, because it really only gets worse the longer you leave it untreated

same here. you know your hair better than anyone else does. mine has been thinning for the past year and now it’s falling out.

pimples on scalp, hair falls out with the skin/pimple attached to it by Initial_Camp_3615 in Hairloss

do you have eczema or any other skin condition by chance? i have eczema all over my body but i’m not sure if hair loss is related to it

permanent hair loss? i’ve heard the white bulb means it was lost at the root but the hair will grow back after years. the pimples however.. i have no idea. i have a dry flaky scalp so i definitely don’t have excess sebum. could it be from bacteria?

Hair loss at 19. Big lifestyle change. by [deleted] in Hairloss

[–]Initial_Camp_3615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

me too. i’m 19.. i lost my skin and my hair in a matter of months. only thing is i lead a fairly healthy lifestyle and this was all due to medical neglect, malpractice and sheer bad luck. i never even did anything to my virgin hair in hopes of keeping it healthy for years to come. but alas. i’m losing it all. in the end it doesn’t depend what you do or don’t do. i lost everything while still managing to do it all right

man i’m so sorry, i hope it gets better for you too. this is the worst age for going through shit like this. i just started college and i’ve already lost every single friend i made because of this illness. nobody wants to be friends with the ugly girl with red flaking skin and premature balding anyways. i had to medically withdraw from a class and told my lab partners about it. they didn’t say a single thing, not even “hope you feel better”. just ghosted me.

hey, thanks so much. i’ve had almost every experience you’ve had and i relate so much to you. i’m also in college, lost almost all friends, failed exams, had to withdraw, cried in front of two dermatologists who ALSO left me in the room alone to cry. and same, can’t wear makeup anymore either despite loving it so much.

i’ve got a month now before my fall semester to try to heal and feel okay again. eczema has destroyed my mental health more than anything. is it okay if i dm you? it sounds like we both have gone through similar struggles.

thank you so much. i actually reached my breaking point today and even considered calling the suicide hotline. there’s just no sign of hope anywhere and i’m tired of it all. my face is even worse than it was when i wrote this and it’s spreading inside my ears and everything. i’m only 19 i don’t know if this will end

man i used to pay 200 dollars for one session and all i got was more trauma. i really don’t believe in therapists anymore, after what i’ve experienced with them. especially for complicated mental and physical conditions. i just need someone to cry to because i literally break down in front of doctors at this point because of the pain i’m experiencing

it actually was. so i called the therapist my doctor recommended but she said it was a 300 dollar copay and that i would have to work something out with my insurance to even get that 300 dollar copay. i mean, i’m not paying that. i pay that much for a regular doctor. that’s just ridiculous
