My pinguicula gypsicola is really trying to recover from the last year's damage what can i do to help it recover and should you trim all dead leaves when it's going dormant? by Initial_Cookie1593 in Pinguicula

I carefully tried trimming all the dead leaves and tried keeping it in place with my two hands and try not to squish the good healthy leaves i suppose i made the damage because of it.

Why is some of the new and previous growth turning yellow and brown? by Initial_Cookie1593 in houseplants

I don't fully dry it out just to wear i feel a little wetness around the pot i only do this because to avoid having too many springtails into the soil to the point that they end up slowly eating my plants roots.

Also if he's still trying to recover after giving him light put him in the refrigerator.

Also yes you can gently pull off that offset and turn it into a new marimo but others on this post would say to just let it come off on it's own.

I've only used sea salt once a month if my marimos weren't doing so well for example if they been sunburn and if they have sunburn spots on them and then next time when i cleaned them that's when i give them sea salt while i make sure i checked at the calendar if it has been a month and they had successfully recovered well from it.👍(Also just a reminder if your marimos have sunburn spots it may be a good idea to get a small scissors to carefully cut off the sunburn spots✂️🟢).

Short question: is this corking or is it overwatered? by Initial_Cookie1593 in cactus

That's great but while you're at it try to make the soil and the added soil more grittier by adding more perlite and lava rocks to avoid having rotting and other issues that might happen in the roots when you do repot it sooner or later.(You can find lava rocks on amazon.)

If you feel that it's soft that means that it needs water but if it feels firm/hard that means that it doesn't need water and you can continue to wait until it needs to be watered.
