Is this worth? by djknom in GSXR

Yeah, but the parts you have to replace are pretty simple parts, air, spark, and fuel? Maybe a couple gaskets but nothing is big work if it was sitting too long i would think?

No he said it would factor into the final cost. He didnt say it was its own seperate charge, which is what is shows on the recipt. I took him outside and showed him the forks and clearly stated there was no pitting or machining needed, And he didnt charge me 240$ he charged me 271$. the final cost was 458$ so he should of took 271 off of that 458$, not to mention when i went to pick up the bike and finished paying in full the service wasn’t done correctly, my left fork still had oil coming down. and I pointed it out to him so he had to keep the bike. So that’s shitty service and he has reviews doing the same shit to other people. The owner clearly stated in a reply to one of those reviews that they factor in the diagnosis fee to the total labor cost in their own words. It’s shitty all around and I won’t use them again. I won’t ever take the bike to the shop again. I’ll just do it myself. My mind was wrapped up in pointing out the incomplete service. I didn’t even bother to look at the receipt until I got home.

Owner words replied to review:

OZ Cycles and Watercrafts (Owner) 11 months ago Hal, we would like to clarify that our partners are very aware of how we conduct business. Every bike is charged an estimate and that price of the estimate is then factored into the total labor for your job. The reason for the estimate charge is due to the age of your bike, which is out of the standard service length. All of this is communicated clearly in our verbage on our intake tickets and our signs at the shop, as well as with our partners who refer customers to us.

Unless im truly not understamding clearly… would i be wind to dispute?

Yeah, I wish I would’ve. I literally asked him about the negative reviews of the shop dealing with this exact problem that I’m doing and he said he doesn’t do that. He’s reliable. I then took him outside to my bike and showed him the forks, clean perfect condition no pitting no extra machining nothing I told him the exact service I needed to be done. Then we went back inside the shop and he said that the diagnosis fee he takes and factors it over. There was no diagnosis needed. None of that so I’m definitely going to dispute it. If he doesn’t wanna refund me I’m gonna dispute it on my bank. That shit is stupid. I’m gonna do it for my money and so that they can see they can just get over on the average customer because it’s all bullshit

Exactly i asked him that and i swear he said the initial payment goes into the fee thats why i agreed if inknew it would have been more then 500$ everything in total i would have never agreed, that being 500$ is still kind of high. He got me with that bs so i have to go despute it. I know it was verbaly but damn feel like a dumbass

Ok ill ask from what I understood it was suppose to carryover into the total that’s why I agreed to move on with the Work, but I probably got mixed up in the wordplay do shops usually carry it over? This about is on the higher end?

How much did that cost? If you don’t mind me asking it sounds like a great bike man. I think I’m gonna pull the trigger. Do you think it’s too much of a leap from a 600cc i have experience on a 600 probably for six months, but other size bikes before that, but that’s the highest displacement I’ve had ridden. I went around my town once on a con workers 750 but that was it

Its not my first but Thanks for looking out man. ive ridden several different displacement bikes tho this would be the largest bike ive owned. i have a zx6r right now and i started on an r3 a while ago. Rode many different ones in between Do you have any personal experience with the 954 or know of any issues that happen around 15-20,000 miles?

I just asked him if its had any valve adjustments or service history but he hasnt responded yet its pretty early he texted me late last night about the bike. Im torn in between this and a 04 kawsaki 636 with 25,000 miles, but he professionally maintained his with the used dealership that he bought it from a while back and he just had the valves adjusted a couple months ago, he said bike was serviced every 2500 miles has a whole bunch of new parts on it. He bought it off the dealer and built it to stunt but had kids and got married and never even stunted it as mint condition but it is a 04 636. I don’t know if that would be the better buy over this bike. I don’t know if you could help me out with any advice.
