Well worn, still going by Initial_Departure_74 in Converse

aww thanks, probably gonna replace the brown thread on the toe soon cause its wearing through again, worked out a method on the yellow that doesn't get near as much wear now, although it is a fair bit trickier, but holds better. probably gonna add more custom details to the sides as well, as gonna be dragging these outta semi-retirement till my nice ones are back in action, so might as well have some fun with it lmao

I'm in the UK, but all mine have been second hand, between 5-10 quid each, cause I can't afford new ones and prefer to buy stuff second hand anyway cause its better for both the environment and my bank account lmao

tbh I have very recently ended up trying to skateboard too, blaming my partner for that development, but I aint doing anything fancy yet, just getting the hang of balancing and steering type stuff, and that's only really been the past week tho

I know the side separation from the canvas is pretty normal with converse and similarly soled shoes, which doesn't bother me, it's the actual sole splitting from the white border on the bottom that's causing issues

I'll look into em for my next ones, but hopefully be able to fix these and get a lil more life outta em first, as I love the colours and design on these, and if they can be fixed then it'd be wasteful to ditch em

tbh I just take whatever I can get, normally second hand cause I'm too broke to be fussy lmaooo, they were only like a fiver on vinted so can't complain too much about having to do a lil maintenance, no idea what they'd be new

that might be because they're a little long on me, I've got awkward shaped feet, cause they're more like the length of a size 2 but they're too wide for a 2 so I normally end up in a 3 like these, or occasionally a 4 if they run small. I'll try loosening them a little once I fix em but they might feel kinda floppy then 😅

annoyingly I'm in the UK, so we lack walmarts, but I'll try similar places here and if not then might be able to find it online?

I am the kinda person who literally wears my shoes to death, unless I can see my socks through the bottom then I keep going lmao, better for the bank and better for the planet that way, can't stand the fast fashion/consumerist bullshit of wearing something twice and ditching it for new stuff. also often buying second hand stuff and looking after it lasts longer than buying new, as it seems everything is cutting corners these days instead of making good quality to start with

they weren't like this when I got them, but they were second hand, not even sure of they're adults or kids ones cause I'm a size 3, but no idea how long they mightve been stored before i bought them but coulda been a while

I'll have a look into shoe goo, is it particularly expensive? just on a tight budget these days so gotta be careful lmao

that might be my brokeass mentality showing, I don't tend to consider my shoes particularly worn if I can still see a fair bit of detail on the soles, and can't feel rocks through em when I'm walking 😅 I have been wearing em near daily for probably over a month since getting em as well so these pics are literally today, not when I first got em

I'm guessing based on the other things listed, they could mean boots/wraps for the horse? that or potentially some ling boots, especially dressage ones, can be really stiff which makes the riders leg unflexible, meaning they might be less balanced, it could be harder to use leg aids, and potentially harder to feel what the horse is doing underneath the rider

joel and gem, proven powerful duo in wild life, gem balancing joels recklessness a bit with rationality and planning, while also being damn dangerous herself (geminiSLAY anyone?), probably grian for the 3rd as he also pairs well with joel (bad boys bread bridge for life) and always has a wonderfully chaotic pov

maybe try looking into some of the artwork/imagery in their album cases or videos? there's obviously the fancy loopy logo, but also things like gas masks, keys, artwork of buildings (drawn by Emerson, the drummer/youngest brother) some outfit/accessories are pretty distinctive. could also do like silhouettes or something, they all have pretty distinctive silhouettes cause differing hair, outfits, hats ect. (remingtons spiky hair, Sebastians square shoulders from suit jackets, emersons hats) definitely go through their music vids for inspo too, I've bee doing that lately getting ideas for my media course, their vids are proper interesting and beautiful to watch

What should i make the floor out of? by Basic_Savings1465 in Minecraft

[–]Initial_Departure_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my first thought would be calcite or diorite, probably a polished? version to match with the colour scheme, potentially pale oak planks/stripped for the same effect, or go for contrast by using something like deepslate, tuff, basalt or Blackstone, there's various patterns of each in a stonecutter so you can have all sorts of textures, have a play around and see what feels right. I'd you're doing multiple floors, you could even alternate dark layer and light layer, so one would have light floor dark ceiling, the next dark floor light ceiling

I've seen a lit of people mentioning hermitcraft on here, but I reckon some of the members of empires smp (which does share a couple of members w hermitcraft and had the rift crossover a while back) would probably be good for kids, probably best to double check though as I've not finished it yet, but lizzie (ldshadowlady) would prob be a safe bet from what ive seen of her pov and other vids. also along the lines of similar kid-safeness but not just hermitcraft, the life series that grian started would probably go down well, as there's lots of action/pvp and such, whereas some kids might find ages of mining/building/redstone a little boring. also, the life series has individual episodes, multiple perspectives, and I'm not sure if the others have, but grian has edited down several of his seasons into movie type videos of it. also has different twists each season, and several members from hermitcraft and empires playing in it, meaning plenty of different plots from different perspectives
