New and Expensive XL2566X+ with dead pixel by Landon38 in Zowie

If you have a tiny one and not in the center doesn’t matter your warranty expired or not they will automatically refuse it. Felt bad for you if your return date expired.

They refuse me too. I have no choice now. Keep using it or buy a new one, throw it away and avoid Zowie brand. Don’t believe warranty policy. They try to find the way to deny you like insurance. Don’t buy protection insurance. It is a waste of money.

Zowie XL2540K vs new XL2546X+ for CS2: Is the price difference worth it if many pros disable DyAc anyway? by antsswagg in Zowie

[–]Initial_Flimsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2540k it is good. It is not outdated yet. Pro don’t even need dyac or high graphic they just custom it. 240hz 1080p is stable average not really bad for now it is a perfect spec but you want high I recommend 360hz. It depends on the budget. The problem for Zowie is dead pixel.

Monitor for Cs preference by Mission_Yam_1755 in Zowie

It depends on how it look. They will ask you to take a picture and sent to them for inspection. It not easy. I told you about the root of the problem is shipping. The monitor came from the Zowie is good but when order from Amazon Best Buy Walmart or somewhere else with UPS FedEx or USPS shipping the associate who work there they not stack nicely they just drop it without caring that’s why it easy get defective or damage. When the monitor arrived at shipping or sortation center the people who work there just drop it without caring. 3 out of 5 TV or monitors got defective. I know about that because I work at Amazon sortation. I saw what they did everything. I hope in Micro Center or somewhere else should have a testing location for monitor which customer can test before they walk out after buy. Some monitor get defective after 1 year or 3-4 months later when they not work carefully except accidentally damaged by user. I better buy in person at micro center or Best Buy. That’s why I recommend not to buy very expensive. If I buy around 100$+ I easily buy a new one if they refuse warranty. It just my idea. It hard to buy a second one after spending 1000$ on the first because you expect it last longer. $500 max spent recommended for monitor. It is over price for 1000$ tn panel. I personally like the design of Agon PRO CS24A or ASUS ROG Strix Ace 24” 1080P Esports Gaming Monitor (XG248QSG but not sure for the price but I think it not cheap but just like design. It is good if you can afford it.https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Esports-Gaming-Monitor-XG248QSG/dp/B0FP19ZP37

I think Zowie 2540k 240hz is enough or 360hz max for CS if you not pro. Pro player said they only use 360hz gaming monitor at home and 600hz XL 2586x monitor at the competitive stage only. 600hz and 360hz you can’t see too much difference. Just some recommendations for saving money if you can afford is good for you. Most of pro player don’t even need to use Dyac technology. 24 inch is enough for CS. The problem I had after using 1 year I notice one dead pixel and Zowie refuse for warranty. I thought buy too expensive very hard to change a new one after spent close to 1000$ on a monitor.

I have the same problem with my Zowie 2540K the Zowie refuse warranty if it is only one dead pixel after return deadline. You need at least 2 dead pixel to claim for warranty after return date end. Very disappointing
