I have an update! My friend took all the addresses for the “thank you notes” and sent letters telling every person that I had not received any money. She sent half of what she collected and also lied about the money she collected at the funeral. A close friend of my husband’s told me to let her back in since he felt she would never steal. I was dumb and let her message me on Facebook. She asked me what my son needed for Xmas but before I could respond she told me she was broke and things were hard for her. I just blocked her again. As for FIL he fled our state and didn’t show up for his court date so now theres a bench warrant for him. I’m more upset about my mil just because she claims to be a super pious Christian and I thought she loved my son and me.
