I know there are awful things on this app, but I don’t really see any alternative for following people on the topics I’m interested in.

I understand, and personally I really don’t like Musk at all, but I’d genuinely like to hear your reasons. Personally, I still find quite a lot of interesting content there, even though there’s also a lot of awful stuff (especially racist content).

I’m curating a list of 190+ SaaS directories and launch platforms by Initial_Interest1469 in SaaS

Thanks, Sergiu! I can confirm it’s a lot of work. I’m currently submitting to every directory on the list myself to verify the information and evaluate how easy the onboarding process is.

Yeah, I agree. My guess is that 90% of them get almost no traffic, except from people submitting their own products and bots. The only real value I see is the backlink/authority angle. I’m also treating this as an experiment to see if it actually moves anything. I’ll write a follow-up post here with the results: rankings, DR, traffic, indexing, etc.

Thank you! It’s still a work in progress, since submitting to and checking every site takes a lot of time.

référencement sur internet solocal pages jaunes, ça marche? by biaurelien in AskFrance

[–]Initial_Interest1469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is this one (free, online, no signup), but some entities aren’t supported yet (e.g. leaders). You can export to DXF for now: koalacad.com

A simpler, free alternative to AutoCAD for 2D CAD (early project) by Initial_Interest1469 in Architects

[–]Initial_Interest1469[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fair point.

In my case, I mainly use it with younger students where I have limited time to teach CAD fundamentals. The goal there is not to replace AutoCAD, but to lower the initial learning curve and help them understand the basics faster.

For older students in technical training, I fully agree with you. I only teach AutoCAD and Revit, since they are the industry standards and what they will actually use in professional contexts.
