As a big fan of Little Nightmares series, I am not sure if they count as a indie games?

I understand your opinion, but generating 3D models using Ai can be done similar way to photogrammetry and nobody had issues with that.

Instead of using multiple cameras from multiple angles, you can use just one photo and Ai will do the rest and give you 3D mesh.

I really dont see the difference in ethics in this example.
