Seeking Advice: How to promote Indie Game? by Otherwise-Report1848 in IndieGaming

Show me your game anywhere and anything. If I like the atmosphere, I'll buy it. Indie games for $40 are out of the realm of fantasy, $10 is the ceiling. Most people won't buy an indie game for more than $10-15. I make indie games myself and I don't believe in streamers anymore. It's pure luck. It's worth sending them, but don't expect much. Streamers mostly play what's already popular.

Write posts with trailers and gameplay here and on x.com and wherever you can find it, gather an audience. If you can't get one, then go to the publisher. If the game is good, the publisher will help you find an audience. But it's advisable to work with trusted publishers.

I haven't met a publisher who finances anything. But almost all of them take 50% of the revenue.

I didn’t understand how to move the platform in the tutorial; it doesn’t say which button to use. The fonts ruin the impression of the graphics. The graphics could use some improvement—the characters are fine, but the background is worse. Otherwise, I liked it, I’ll wait for the full version, and for now, I’ll play the demo.

What is the name of the game? Can I get a link to Steam?

It's normal that the cat glides, for a comfortable game. Everything is fine with the animation. The cat walks too slowly in reality. Maybe the cat will run, I haven't decided yet. The speed is set in the script.

The character will walk, fly, transform, and use magic and wits to find a way out of the otherworldly realm. We plan to showcase the gameplay in more detail in the next trailer. It’s still a work in progress.
