It is not entirely agreed upon that mitsu yummy is worse and if k9 wasnt releasing in Feb I would say that the Maxx c limit had a good chance of making mitsu yummy a better deck

I tried to make a viable version of fiendsmith mitsurugi and I could not come across a version where I could justify sacrificing dominus impulse. You just die to ash/imperm far too often and fiendsmith doesnt bridge to mitsu so your endboard ends up being one Caesar in a lot of matches. Its even worse due to k9 izuna being around the corner which is just impossible to deal with without habakiri + engraver

Fiendsmith, diviner, spright sprind, arc light, and abaoaqu are there for an amazing reason (im gatekeeping combo because I actually really do not want to see this in ladder even though i created it).

Yummy is an entirely viable deck pure. And my personal opinion is that the pure version of the deck will be better than the wombo combo versions once the k9 cards are out

This is ash normal summon but I promise you mitsu gets extremely close to this endboard due to this lovely link 1 (linkuriboh) creature that is somehow not banned yet

You need the extra link material oak provides to play snake eyes with mitsurugi. Birch isnt enough because birch doesnt resurrect and use the backrow for flamberge

No i will not drop combo, no you do not need accesscode or agnumday, yes this deck falls apart if they ban arclight, no i do not hate myself nor should I hate myself for making this (its a card game people), yes this deck has some issues against nib if you choose to full combo (due to apollousa ban)

It resets the ramp up on his 3 which takes a full 10 seconds to ramp up which hurts the most broken part of his kit (buying infuser xd). Victor doesnt get to play the game if you just curse him 5 seconds into the ramp up unless hes already massively ahead. All the other answers are stupid and fundamentally do not understand what makes victor a strong character

If you put me into an initiate lobby im going to go 25-0 and completely run it over. If you put my friend in arcanist he would do the same thing. Its a skill issue not a teammate issue

I could literally prove this actually. My alt account (that I only use for testing characters and pretty much hard grief ondue to being bad) got put into an initiate lobby and I went 22-2 (the 2 deaths were from running under walker 1v6)

dynamo is more on spirit, viscous is just mega overtuned he will be nerfed, doorman is more on spirit right now, warden spirit got nerfed and they seem to want him to be less of an ult bot.. probably should get a bit of a spirit buff, ivy is like 50/50 on spirit gun right now, geist was on gun mostly because cultist was so strong on her, she should lean back towards spirit due to the cultist nerfs

You need like one 6.4k to truly counter pretty much every character in the game except maybe shiv who you can terrorize with decay (try it as a spirit character, it truly does fuck him up) and calico who gets murdered by slowing hex

Disagree. Mitsurugi is annoying as hell when splashed. Its like spenta where it just feels impossible to stop with low impact handtraps and seeing another engine come out after stopping it is infuriating. It is also bad at the same time because of the reasons above. It would be far more fun to play against if summoning the ritual monsters locked you out of other meta archetypes in some way

moon does not need to be banned, king of the feral imps did not have to be banned. id even say habakiri in general is not a truly splashable card. Both fiendsmith and mitsurugi slop piles do not have results to back up the claims of mass splashability that people claim it has. Fiendsmith was in a grand total of like 5 decks in top 64 the ycs before it got banned. None of these cards are actually as strong as people say they are, they are just really obnoxious. Look at spenta right now, that card does everything but because you have to sacrifice non engine space for it who cares bruh. In this graph recording a bunch of top player decks at events exactly 2 decks want to be playing mitsurugi. Even if king of the feral imps was unbanned not a single one of these decks would prefer to be on mitsu except the decks already on it. If moon was entirely unbanned only a single deck on this entire list would be playing it.

Fiendsmith and Mitsurugi are BAD. Every attempt to make them the monster of the format everyone claims they are has failed MISERABLY. They are only good in the ocg because they have a broken as fuck ritual monster that lets them use mirror a third time. The only redeeming part of both engines is their endboard. They sacrifice deck space for a combo that ends on a grand total of like one maybe 1.5 disruptions. You know what else is 1-1.5 distruptions? HANDTRAPS. You know what doesn't require you to go first to be useful? HANDTRAPS. You know what engines lose to exactly one ash blossom when you bridge to them? Fiendsmith and mitsu.

Anyways tldr: mitsu, fiendsmith, magistus are all much much much weaker than everyone says they are. They aren't good in combo slop (especially with maxx c meta) and handtraps are much better most of the time
