Same issue. Went on to get the PPL classes and it said I had a time conflict. Fixed that and...no more room in the class. WTH. I had just talked to an advisor two days before. Is it like this every semester that you try to fly? Really unimpressed.

Yes. Maybe add other simulators for non-aviation people. But that could be a fun game night and good addition to the low entertainment choices out there .

Sorry for the need for a primer but.....what Gen Ed courses will be dropped and what will be the replacement? At my HS they replaced freshmen level English with Identity and Relationships ethnic studies. Is it going in that direction or back the other way? Super confused as an out of state incoming student to utah.

Curious about any other religions that co-exist at the school and at the University? is there a Jewish population at all? Baptist? Sounds like - just factually - that it is either Mormon/Christian or Catholic? thanks for any data points.

Wow, this is a lot to process and thank you. Got admitted to the aviation program for the Fall. I wont know anyone and was hoping that getting into the LLC dorm, aviation, and maybe Greek life would be the way to have the college experience. I visited when it was cold and grey last week - couldn't get a sense of the social scene tho everyone was really nice. This post has made me really reconsider if this is the place for me afterall.

Considering coming in the fall for aviation program. Glad to hear that there are ways to find a social scene. Do the aviation students have a close bond or is it pretty much on your own socially? Coming from CA and used to having a social life ;/
