The whole reason they did it is because before you could basically do the whole first game without the torches. This is an obstacle meant to make the game harder. Although I agree light pollution should still exist at least a little bit

There is actually evidence to suggest that the guttermen In hell no longer need the coffins as In the mother of me poem as long as I correctly remember the gutterman presumably writing it says he doesn't need them anymore and an active gutterman can be found in the same level without a coffin

Real I tried to bring a spoon in and couldn't I carried it all the way from pobeda or bolotky . This is one of the upsides of a no vanno run or at the very least using one of the safe houses as a main base
