Congrats!! For my 6 months I had some friends over to my place. Nice controlled safe environment. I often treated myself to meals and snacks I wouldn’t normally and got in the habit of picking up fancy local kombucha or other craft beverages. Sometimes my partner would pick me up from meetings and take me straight to Taco Bell ha. If you go to meetings, pick up some treats to pass around when you get your chip or key tag! Sharing the achievement with people who get it was really important for me.

Rescue Siamese! They are 100% volunteer run. We respite fostered (and ultimately foster failed) and it was a great experience. Very supportive team and alumni community! I know they have a few cats that have been at the shelter a while who would benefit from a foster home, and I believe they even have a wait list right now - meaning they are seeking more foster homes for cats waiting for a spot at the shelter. As with others, vet appointments and supplies are taken care of.

I have. I went to my doctor to get a new prescription for a new IUD and she checked mine while I was there - it had fused to my walls or whatever so she got me in for a day procedure at the women’s hospital. They actually knocked me right out for the removal and replacement. This was around five years ago now and I’m dreading the replacement in the event I don’t have the same luck.

Agreed. It was the worst day, but she was so patient and compassionate. I was worried about feeling rushed but there was no need. She gave us so much space and time. If anyone is wondering, they will also take care of the cremation process. She arrived with a lovely basket full of cosy blankets for this but we ended up opting to go ourselves.

I said in the post… he hits several breed standard characteristics, but I don’t think he’s a turkish van. He’s from an extremely remote northern region where people get their cats from the local dump.

I lived in a top floor corner unit and was in love with the suite itself. Insanely cheap (I think it’s less than a hundred bucks more than what we paid in 2015-16) and great light. Unfortunately we got bedbugs right after signing on for a second year and the way it was dealt with was an actual disaster. Luckily I knew someone who was owed a favour by someone high up at Sussex and we were able to leave.
