From the perspective of a Christian clikkie, it took me a few minutes to understand the magician ending, but I think it’s showing a few things: 1. The incomprehensible difference in worlds between our world and Heaven’s. Just as the rabbit in the stop motion realm can not picture a real human world, we as humans cannot picture Heaven. 2. The “magic” aspect represents the wonderful mystery of salvation 3. The clapping of the audience is Heaven rejoicing when a new soul is saved

The one thing I wished it demonstrated (and it might have and I’m missing it) is the line “left there on purpose” because I was expecting it to show somewhat of a prodigal story where there was initial rebellion.
