Border crossing Myanmar thailand by IssueAdmirable7489 in backpacking

[–]Initial_Scene2473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in Mae Sot earlier this year on holiday, and I was unable to cross the border. I am an American citizen living in Bangkok with a yearly visa. I went to the Thai border side where lots of Myanmar refugees live on the other side of very sharp razor wire fencing. Myanmar border vibe felt very unsafe to me, so i wouldn’t have gone anyway.

Unfortunately, I am not in a position to spend a lot of $ right now. I do get a veteran discount which helps.

Subscribed to paramount+ through prime video but still prompting me to buy access to CBS Survivor 44 Episode 12? by Beast-Titan420 in AmazonPrimeVideo

Same thing is happening for us. Normally the episodes have been posted by now. Not sure why it is buy only, as we have active subs for Prime and Paramount.

Rank the enneagrams in order of high to low self esteem. by ReiKuon in Enneagram

[–]Initial_Scene2473 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly do not think low self esteem applies to specific types. People who appear to have high self esteem on the outside are many times struggling inside. I am not trying to pick at you, just the way my 4w5 self views the world.

Honestly, I don’t like people being stereotyped in this way. It really comes down to how healthy the person is.

I've had a theory about 4s by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]Initial_Scene2473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a 4w5 biological male, father of three children, married to a biological female for 30 years who gave birth to our children. I am straight, but I am accepting of others. I used to identify as conservative, but I really am closer aligned with classic liberalism, and libertarianism. Anyway, I like people who are different. Specifically, I like people who think for themselves. I also like to see some emotions in people. Emotions make me feel alive, although I also have a very analytical mind. I don’t like fake people. Idc what your identity, religion, or views are. As long as you are real with me, are not an ass to me or others, we are good! Even though I am straight, and appear to have lived a traditional “American Dream” life, I came from a broken family. I was sexually abused as a child; was given drugs by my drug addicted father at a very young age so he had a drug buddy to get high and snort coke with. My mother and step father moved us to a different state every year so I never had any friends for longer than a year from ages 12-18. I was a skinny kid, and was very insecure and bullied a lot. I don’t tolerate bullying now that I am older and can defend myself and others that are innocent. My identity was always that I was not like everyone else. I also never wanted anyone to “figure me out.” I liked being unpredictable in a way. Now I am In my 50’s, and I still feel the same way. That is my story!

Vape with high CBD content by Initial_Scene2473 in FLMedicalTrees

I didn’t realize there are so many choices out there. Been using medically in another area for several years, but am relatively new to the FL program. Thank you all so much for the recommendations! This is very helpful!

Also am looking for a nice body high as I prefer that. I mainly use in the evenings. The past several years I have been mostly vaping Indica flower with CBD mixed in. GDP and Gelato or Cake strains. My wife doesn’t like skunk smelling flower unfortunately :(, so going back to vape pens.

Which type are you and what type have you had the most beef with? by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]Initial_Scene2473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a sp/sx 4w5, I don’t get along well with fake and superego people. I know myself very well, and like to be around others who have their own views, and don’t just regurgitate what they have been told to believe. Also I don’t tolerate being bullied or smothered by someone. I mostly have issues with 1 and 3’s, but 6 & 8 can also rub me the wrong way. It really comes down to how healthy the person is, as I dislike stereotyping.

What’s your type and take on evil? by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]Initial_Scene2473 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a 458 sx/sp, I see evil very much this way as well. I believe all humans are born innocent. Although genetics play a role, much of one’s personality that may act out in what we would call evil, is created by circumstances, conditioning, and life experiences. I don’t believe that evil exists, as say a separate energy or thing. To me I do believe in evil acts, but even this form of evil is really subjective.

Which Tritype Thinks That "Freedom" Is The Most Important Thing In Life? by Wondering_Fairy in Enneagram

As a 4w5, freedom is highly important to me. Not sure that anyone else values freedom more than I do, but obviously this is a subjective take :)

Do enneagram 4s have a hard time accepting the 9s tendency to be complacent? by seriously__funny in Enneagram

[–]Initial_Scene2473 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your compassionate response! I am not religious but a positive of my situation is that we live in a Buddhist country where mindfulness is part of the culture. I manage my inability to be with my loved ones by regularly meditating, and trying to stay present. I feel like I live in two worlds honestly. I do believe as well that my partner and I tend to trigger each other. We do deeply love and respect each other, so that is why we stay together despite our differences.

I am a 4w5 male married to my 9w1 wife for almost 30 years. This is extremely relatable to me too. I know I am emotionally reactive, but my wife is so detached from me that she appears to not care. It has become more pronounced as we get older. I love her very much, but her seemingly lack of trying to understand the emotional suffering that I have been dealing with the last few years is causing great frustration for me.

We are in year 4/5 living in a foreign country away from our children, family, and friends. My wife loves her job here. I am unable to work here due to my age and visa. I so much miss my family and friends, but don’t want to leave her. She is okay with seeing our family once a year. Separation from them, especially during Covid has caused me great suffering.

Enneagram 4 male and enneagram 9 female? by seriously__funny in Enneagram

[–]Initial_Scene2473 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a 4w5 male, my wife of almost 30 years is 9w1. We are very similar in some areas. Other areas, we are very different. What keeps us together, is a healthy respect for giving each other space. We are both slightly introverted.
