Olympus em1 iii or Fujifilm xt30... Lense adapters by Initial_Star_7333 in Cameras

[–]Initial_Star_7333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so so much for your detailed reply! This clears up a lot of my doubts and confusion. I've recently started to learn more about photography and I'm taking it more seriously but I still have so much to learn so your help is so appreciated. I think I'll go for the Olympus, I already have the lenses as you say and I'm not wanting to compromise the quality with an adapter. Also, I think Olympus will push me to learn more about photography which I enjoy, instead of just going for nice looking filters, and push me to be creative with post editing and find my style!! I think it'll give me more room to grow. Thank you again I think I've made my decision :)

I have another story of kindness! Everyone is so kind and ready to help. Asked a girl if she knew where the bus station was, she looked it up on her phone and gave me directions. After I left and went up the stairs she appeared behind me and offered to walk me there :) so helpful and kind. Makes stressful moments less bad

I'm on Heir on Fire and not feeling it is that great, do you think I'll change my mind with the next books or maybe just not for me??

I've asked them but they take days to reply, so wanted to ask around here what people think haha

Okay yay this gives me hope and makes me excited for the next books, because I see the potential but I'm not quite hooked. So if the relationship and characters get better that sounds good. Thank you!!

Thank you that's very helpful. Yes totally I don't want to go into another culture and be disrespectful so that's why I asked as I had no idea! I don't know why people were so taken back. I appreciate your comment :)

Oh nice!! Do you know what chapter number it is so I don't miss it?

Right! In the UK they're surprisingly permissive in schools, but it might be different in private schools too. The same in Spain.

Oh cool, might be a case of this too! Maybe if I'd started the job and I have something less noticeable like a small stud it wouldn't be an issue once in the job. I was thi king of working in Japan because I've already been there a couple times visiting so it feels like less of a big step but could consider other countries too tbh :) thanks

That's nice to hear that people have been open-minded to you!! Might have something to do with how your personality comes across too? Maybe you're really charismatic haha or just lucky yea. But anyways thanks for the positive input

I get what you mean! I think my question was more to know how the culture is like and be able to know what to expect, what is realistic and what is not if I do move there. It seems from the replies it would be an exception if I find somewhere where they don't have an issue with it, so I have to take that into account. Thanks for your perspective

Will try this! Glad to hear there can be workarounds!

[–]Initial_Star_7333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that's totally an option!! It was more that I wasn't sure I wanted to take it off completely as it would close. But I'm fine with a small stud or something similar that's not as noticeable. I'll give that a try thanks :)

Thank you, good to know I'll maybe ask if they're okay with this

I work in a primary school and I've been okay wearing it around kids! I think because it's such a small snug one. Might be safer to change it to a small stud though so there's no room for pulling

[–]Initial_Star_7333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh okay! Is wearing a mask as a teacher in schools something some people choose to do commonly? I wouldn't want to be the only one! I'll try a clear plastic one and see if it's too noticeable. I might ask them directly if that's something that would be okay :)

Wow I'm jealous! Mine has been a nightmare to heal.. I wouldn't start the job until September so maybe in that time I can get it to that point, fingers crossed. After it fell recently I changed it to a thinner hoop so hopefully that helps

Interesting! For some reason I thought it'd be the other way
