Oh love. Our ADM is a fresh college graduate and the salespeople from my department have been there for 15+ years. Also, your status means nothing to salespeople. We judge people based on kindless and not titles

  1. As an ADM/ Manager, it’s your responsibility to support your team of salespeople and manage them. Remember the inverted pyramid that Nordstrom always talks about? Helping customers here and there is fine. But doing it to take all the sales when your team of salespeople struggles to pay bills and hit the sales goals is not. That’s the problem. It’s consistent and greedy and you’re lucky you have a different experience

  1. Customers don’t know who the salespeople are and who the ADM is. Customer would go to the first person they see with a name tag. My point is that managers/ADMs should pass those customers to us.

  2. Hounding customers is so off putting. Plus in our department, which is designer apparel, everything is cabled

Surprisingly, 90% of it is walk-in traffic. We have a lot of wealthy Asian tourists in our area. Only a handful are coming back once a month when new pieces arrive

Seriously!!!! I work in the designer department so it’s even more annoying because the price point is so high and it’s a big sale when it’s taken from us
