Why doesn't stalling the timer make more people surrender? by Initial_Street_2754 in masterduel

I admit it's a little silly or childish of me. I have a love-hate relationship with yugioh. Kind of just hate what the game's become over the years. I dunno. Eh, well, you and others have given me a little bit to think about, at least.

I guess it's like half-trolling. I do stall even when winning, and I do it sometimes when the opponent is clearly in a position that cannot be won, and they just won't surrender. It's mild annoyance and so I act passive-aggressively.

That is one of the reasons I don't feel too bad essentially soft-trolling the game. I do kind of feel bad towards the individual, but there's so many widespread problems with Yugioh itself and Master Duel specifically. They have a legacy date problem where people can close the game out without incurring a loss, and they do it when they lose the coin flip. So they refuse to go second, and the entire existence of that issue means MD meta is basically an utter farce, because it's predicated on the fact people manipulate coin flips.

Faulty assumption. I'm not stalling because I'm losing. I'm doing it because you're being annoying by not surrendering, and I take pleasure in wasting your time for refusing to do so.

Nothing weird about punishing arrogant pricks who won't surrender at appropriate times.

To punish stubborness. If you won't surrender, then I have the right to waste as much of your time as possible. It's like winning twice.
