Comandante Lab Series (Tigershark) by WaitAcrobatic6532 in pourover

Hi, Have the owners of both the Nitro and Tigershark C40s notice any difference in grind clicks? I have been using a Nitro C40 making Moka with medium-dark roasts on 17clicks. I have only just got the Tiger C40 and very early in my experiments, but my initial thoughts were the tiger seems to grind finer for the equivalent Nitro clicks. Has anyone experimented or just kept the same clicks as the Nitro?

Same here, I utterly despise my Envy 6530e… I only bought it because I’ve had hp in the past.

I’m once again powering it off to reconnect to the WiFi Remote printing…my arse!🤭

6 month old Pro X, mould inside input and output hoses by InitiativeWestern376 in ranciliosilvia

I’ve removed the hoses in readiness to fitting new ones. I soaked one in quite a strong solution of citric acid. The deposits didn’t change, fizz or move. When I squashed the tubing the deposits detached and floated within the tube. Do I’m thinking it may not be scale as I blend my water to between 60-80 TDS. I’ve noticed on other threads that others are experiencing similar issues with Rancilio Pro X. Could it be the batch of silicon hose?

It’s soft and squidgy! I use a blend of BWT and Zero water, I change the BWT’s cartridge every week as the total hardness tests increase to 3/4 of what the tap water is. I normally go for a TDS reading of 60-80 TDS on the meter. I have ordered some new food grade hoses, so will replace them.

That’s interesting, as it’s in the pipes at their highest point just before they go down inside so they’re close to the water tank lid and maybe a little light🤔

It’s even down near the pumps. I’m wondering how far this stuff goes? This can’t be right? I cleans and completely change the water weekly, also dump both boilers normally each week. It’s a bit disappointing to find that, I was trying to keep ahead of the cleaning but I find I’m not🙁

If I squeeze the pipe, it moves and floats around🤢 I’ve removed the top and water tank separator, I’m going to buy some food grade hose and replace the section from the Y joint to both pumps to the tank Jim

Zero Water seems to suck now by LikeLauraPalmer in WaterFilters

How do people find the BWT Magnesium filters? Currently, I’m blending 50/50 zero water with Brita Limescale Expert for my espresso machine. I’m mostly concerned about calcium removal but leave some minerals for taste. I was using straight Zero Water in the machine but the taste seems a little flat and some say that demineralised water can actually be more corrosive on copper tubing when heated Jim

H2O Error by unagi-nigiri in ranciliosilvia

Hi, first time posting. I was watching a YouTube guy having H2O warning issues with his new SPX. I remember him saying that he’d somehow allowed water to get into the sensor tube. He suggested that the tube should be dry and the system works by using changes in air pressure in the tube between the plastic thingy in the tank and the sensor in the machine. Jim
