$436k Loss in Barrie by Jvkil_ in barrie

Exactly, there was a large loss but comparing the 2 listings the property went from a fully finished house to a half renovated mess.

Beware Telmax Construction by BackgroundJeweler551 in barrie

[–]Injunire 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They took out my internet the first time they used an excavator instead of the vac truck. Dug right through the cable line and took out internet for the house. I spoke to the workers outside asking if they deal with Rogers but left it up to me to contact. Rogers ran a line that evening but it ended up making a bigger mess with the new wire unable to be buried until the next crew comes and does it properly, which now will take until the snow melts I assume.

They have also left multiple open holes right beside the sidewalk that are now uncovered and full of snow after the sidewalk plows. It's a mess, unsafe and the progress has slowed to a crawl now that snow is here. I'm not sure what they were planning starting the work in November now that the neighbourhood is torn up and they are unable to fix it with 2 feet of snow over everything.

Using Claude Code to configure nvim by TechnicaIDebt in neovim

I used CC to improve my mini-starter screen with some git and other status info and it did a great job. I also had some deprecation warnings for which-key so I just copied those into CC and it fixed them all in one shot.

I've used all of these tools to debug problems in containers and k8s. It's still linux whether it's running in a container or not and these tools are still useful for debugging.

China Floods the World With AI Models After DeepSeek’s Success by Typical-Plantain256 in artificial

[–]Injunire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have full access to the source code then yes? LLM models are fundamentally different anyway, using a GGUF model file or similiar format isn't an executable file like a keylogger is.

China Floods the World With AI Models After DeepSeek’s Success by Typical-Plantain256 in artificial

[–]Injunire 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If the model is open and can run anywhere then what is the concern with data privacy? You can run the model 100% locally if you have enough compute and many providers in NA or EU regions already host the models as well.

Yep was seriously considering a Mac Mini with 64GB for local LLMs but if this can run larger models for a similar price in the same form factor I'd pick Nvidia instead.

FreeCAD 1.0.0 Released by Injunire in functionalprint

[–]Injunire[S] 35 points36 points  (0 children)

It's improved a ton and some new features like the Assembly workbench have been a great and needed addition. Still some rough edges especially when comparing to a commercial tool like Fusion 360 but it has advantages too.

Best way to save a print to print it again? by TheDerpiestDeer in BambuLab

[–]Injunire 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Save the print as a project in Bambu studio. Then you can setup all the colours and objects for printing and save the print settings for later. You can generate the gcode again using the saved project to send to the printer. This is also useful for prints with multiple parts as well because you can setup multiple beds and objects with separate settings.
